Dr. Goilav is a pediatric nephrologist who is board certified in Pediatrics and Pediatric Nephrology. Her research interest is in lupus nephritis. She is currently doing translational research studying the role of very small interfering RNAs, called microRNAs, in the development and progression of lupus nephritis and their detection in human urine samples, as well as their role as biomarkers of disease activity.Dr. Goilav graduated from the Faculty of Medicine, University of Basel, Switzerland, and did her internship and residency in pediatrics at Jacobi Medical Center. She completed her fellowship in pediatric nephrology at Mount Sinai School of Medicine.
