I called and spoke to a woman (she didn't even introduce herself to me) about wedding decor rentals. The prices sounded amazing and right around my budget. Then I asked about delivery. She wanted $120, only for delivery!!!! Setup would be another fee!!! My wedding venue is exactly 6.1 miles away from their store. I don't see how the $120 is even reasonable to simply drop off decor and pick it up. I could understand if they set up my decor, which only was a tablecloth and candle holders (literally a 10 minute job). But $120 just to deliver 6 miles down the road!!!! Theyew absolutely nuts. I went with another company, and it's the best decision I made.

Have done business with them 3 times so far and they are great. Their prices are better than other party rentals and the owner is funny and a sweetheart. I wish they had a bigger place. The area where they are located are actually a strip of old fashioned brownstones full of a variety of stores.

The owner of Exceptional party rental, Nicole, is utterly unprofessional. I scheduled a consultation to meet with her 2 weeks in advance. The day of my appointment I called her several times to confirm our consultation and she did not answer the phone! Upon arriving early, I waited to call her 10 minutes before our appointment. She finally answered the phone. I let her know that I was outside and I asked her if we can meet now as our appointment was in 10 minutes and I had already been waiting. Nicole sounded very flustered and confused as if she forgot about our appointment. Her response was "oh ok, can I call you back?" I said sure! When she called me back she said "I hate to do this to you but can we reschedule? I had another consultation that ran over." I told her no, we cannot reschedule when we made an appointment and I drove all the way over your place of business. By the way, her office is in a very industrial section of the Bronx...it's a very strange location for a party rental space. Anyway, she told me that she was not at the office, however, in fact she was in a completely different borough! She is a highly unprofessional business woman and not loyal to future customers. How would I know if she would pull something like this on the day of my event? Not answering phone calls and not showing up. This is not someone I would recommend doing business with. First impressions are everything!
