DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!



If I could give this place zero stars I would!



First: They do not pick up the phone... ever! The only way to make an appointment is to send them an email and when they don't email you back you have to send them an email every other day for 2 weeks before they schedule an appointment for you which is for a month later.



Second: I had a Saturday morning appointment. I made sure I was home to let the cleaner in. They had to cancel the appointment last minute because the cleaner was sick but instead of calling me like a professional business would have done they sent me an email! WHAT?!?!? I was shocked. What if I am not the type of person who checks my email every 2 seconds? I would never have known that they cancelled my appointment and I would have been sitting around all day wondering what happened to them.



Third: They sent a young boy to clean my apartment. (I live in a Manhattan Studio which should not be hard to clean in 2 hours). He came with a back pack. I was confused because on the groupon that I bought it said that the cleaners came with their own supplies. I asked him about where the supplies were and he said that they were in his backpack. Supposedly he had a vacuum, mop, clothes and cleaner supplies in his backpack. I highly doubt he had anything that was worth cleaning with in his backpack.



Fourth: Even though it clearly states on their website that they make beds, the boy who came to my apartment told me "I don't know how to make a bed." ???? Really??? How can you work for a cleaning service and not know how to make a bed???



Fifth: I had stepped out of my apartment for a little while to give the cleaner space to clean. When I returned, I was walking down the hallway towards my apartment and I could hear him talking on his phone in my kitchen area. When I walked in, he was sitting at my kitchen table talking on the phone completely packed up and ready to go and he said "I'm done!". It had not been 2 hours yet! When I looked around my apartment there were still things that he could have been cleaning. He didn't even bother to straighten the pillows on my couch.



Sixth: Once the cleaner left I noticed that my paper towels were completely used (I had just put in a new roll) and my dish soap was practically all used up. He used my supplies to clean my apartment!



I was completely turned off by this company from the get go. They are so incredibly unprofessional and their service is terrible. Wasn't even worth the discounted rate I paid for the groupon.



DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! You will really be disappointed. I would be willing to bet the only good rating on here was written by the owner of the company. Either that or they got the company confused.

****GROUPON AND LIVINGSOCIAL BUYERS BEWARE**** THIS COMPANY IS A FRAUD.****THIS IS NOT EVEN A REAL ADDRESS OF THEIR BUSINESS. I TOO WAS A VICTIM OF PURCHASING THEIR SERVIES ON GROUPON. I HAVE YET GOTTEN A RESPONSE BACK TO SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT VIA EMAIL AND THEIR ANSWERING MACHINE IS ALWAYS FULL. I NOTIFIED GROUPON OF THEIR UNETHICAL PRACTICES AND IF YOU ARE EXPERIENCING THE SAME HEADACHE AS I AM I SUGGEST YOU DO THE SAME.

All other ratings are bogus ones made up by the service. They are all posted on the same date by profiles who have only offered one review. An obvious unethical move on the part of Crystal Clear Janitorial.



Here is the real story:



This service was comically horrible. They were horrible enough to justify allowing people to give negative stars as a review. I say this because of the time and money I wasted by believing I was dealing with a legitimate business.



Like many, I bought a deal for this via LivingSocial, this was back in July of 2012. I tried to schedule a Saturday cleaning about two weeks in advance, no luck. That's understandable since many people prefer weekend cleanings. However, I noticed a pattern. Every time I tried to book a cleaning, they did not have availability.



As the expiration date on my deal was approaching, I reached out again and referenced the expiration date. I was again told they were completely booked for all dates prior to the expiration date (no surprises), but they would still honor the deal (that's more acceptable), however there would be an additional $40 fee (what???).



I stated how ridiculous that was since I have no insight as to what their queue is. I even said their behavior might encourage people to believe they aren't an overly ethical business. Eventually (and most likely after looking up the definition of "ethical"), they said they'd extend the expiration date without the additional fee. I was about 20 emails into the process at this point. They once again asked when I was available. Due my past experience, it became a stupid question to reply to since they never, ever, had any appointments available when I would send my availability over. We finally agreed to have a cleaner come over in late January.



The day of that appointment, they canceled and asked if we could reschedule. At this point they seemed so shady I didn't even want them in my apartment for fear they might steal anything that wasn't nailed down. I told them I wanted a refund (I also cc'd LivingSocial and the Better Business Bureau) they said they couldn't but would reschedule. They may as well of offered me a pony at this point because I knew this appointment was never going to happen.



Fortunately, LivingSocial got back to me and promptly offered me a full refund. Their only fault was not checking review sites such as this to see how really, really, bad this service is. I take some of the blame too for not doing the same prior to purchasing the deal. The fact they communicated via a Hotmail address should have been a tip as well.



To the point, stay away! They're crooks AND bad liars. They could have at least picked one or the other.

I hired crystal cleaning to clean my apartment, and I was very pleased with the services. They were on time and very professional. The cleaning was great and the staff are wonderful. I have hired them twice so far. And I love their "refer a friend deal", if you refer a friend your next cleaning is 50% off! Definitely a great service and affordable cleaning packages.

I have been hiring cleaning services for a couple years now, and Crystal Clear has been one of the few that I have hired more than once. I really liked the professionalism and the work ethics. The cleaning is extremely good and thorough. the cleaning packages are affordable and reasonable. I also like their discounts! I am a happy current customer!

I am a mother of 3 and I work full time. I hire Crystal Clear all the time. Scheduling an appt with them is ver flexible. They offer great hours that fits my busy schedule. I am pleased with the cleaning and with the customer service that they provide. I have recommended them to my friends and co-workers. Price range is within my budget.

I am a loyal customer of Crystal Clear Janitorial Services. I use their services on a weekly basis due to my busy schedule. They already know how and what to clean. They have never misplaced or broken anything in my home. I trust this company.

I have been hiring Crystal Clear for the a couple of months now and I very pleased with their cleaning services. They have never cancelled or rescheduled my appointments.
