Founded in 1939, Cardinal Hayes High School serves more than 1,000 students in grades nine through 12. It offers a variety of courses at different levels. The school s students are required to study four years of religion, math, English and social studies; three years of a modern language and science; and a year of arts, music and health education. It also offers elective courses at junior and senior levels. Cardinal Hayes High School s science courses include biology, earth science, chemistry and physics. The school also conducts classes in foreign languages, including French and Spanish. Its math courses include regents, precalculus and calculus. The school s sports activities include baseball, basketball, football, cheerleading, softball and track. Cardinal Hayes High School is located in Bronx, N.Y.
