Andrew Chiang, MD, is an attending physician and Assistant Professor of radiology at Montefiore-Einstein. Dr. Chiang’s clinical focus is on imaging and image-guided interventions of the musculoskeletal system, with particular interests in sports medicine, trauma and orthopedic oncology. He has expertise in image-guided interventions including steroid joint injections, arthrography and biopsies.Dr. Chiang received his Bachelor of Arts in human biology from Stanford University, graduating with distinction. He later pursued his Doctor of Medicine at Northwestern University, Feinberg School of Medicine. His postgraduate training began with a transitional year internship at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center. He went on to complete his residency training at the Cedars-Sinai Diagnostic Radiology Residency Program Dr. Chiang subsequently completed a musculoskeletal radiology fellowship at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. In 2018, he received his Master of Science in management from Stanford Graduate School of Business.Dr. Chiang’s research focuses on imaging of sports-related injuries, orthopedic trauma and orthopedic oncology. He also has interest in the application of artificial intelligence in musculoskeletal imaging. He has shared his work in peer-reviewed publications and in electronic educational exhibits at annual meetings including the RSNA and ARRS. Dr. Chiang is also an editorial reviewer for the journal Orthopedics.Dr. Chiang is board-certified by the American Board of Radiology. He is a member of the Radiological Society of North America and the American Roentgen Ray Society.
