Copperhead Plumbing and Heating Corp is a family owned small business which was established in 1990. It was originally based in Martinsville and is now located in Bridgewater Township near the Commerce Ball Park. Early on the business was focused primarily on residential service and repairs, such as faucet installations and repairs, drain cleaning, garbage disposals, ice makers sump pumps and most everything from the basement to the kitchen to the bathrooms. During this time the company also changed a lot of heating systems and plumbed many new additions and basement bathrooms with ejector pump systems. With the economic problems of the early 90's the company did a lot of volunteer plumbing work for elderly residents with the Somerset County Office on Aging. Copperhead was recognized and commended by the Somerset County Board of chosen freeholders. In 1994 Copperhead Plumbing started in Air Conditioning and became certified by the EPA to properly handle and recover refrigerant R-22 to protect the ozone layer. There have been many changes taking place with air conditioning and we've kept up with on going training, and have satisfied requirements for North American Technician Excellence ( NATE ) program. In 1996 Copperhead Plumbing began repairing and replacing well pump systems and tanks from jet pumps to submersibles. Our pump installer's license was earned that year. In the process of developing a regular customer base we also adopted several elderly residents we would help out when needed, as a courtesy. In 1998 we were recognized by the Courier News as one of the best plumbing companies in Somerset County. Since the company is liked, trusted and respected, it has branched into other areas which customers who appreciate our style had requested help with. In 2000 Copperhead began to naturally expand into water treatment and has installed water softeners and drinking water filtration systems which are more substantial than equipment available and for a reasonable cost. Our newest challenges are how to save energy and save water. Our company has a big responsibility to recommend environmentally friendly equipment which conserves resources and has superior performance. Since 2004 we have installed far more 95% efficient condensing heating systems than standard equipment. Radiant heating is another comfort system we've been installing since the early 1990's. In the near future we will likely be installing solar hydronic systems to assist with domestic hot water and for supplemental heating. In addition with the present economic downturn we plan to become more active volunteering in Somerset County to give back to the community. Copperhead Plumbing & Heating provides same day service to all Somerset County, NJ residents.
