On May 2008, I came to the Carvel branch in Ossining to order a birthday cake for my niece, who recently turned four. I spoke with one of their staffs and he legibly printed on the order form specifically what I wanted written on the birthday cake. Aside from the Disney Princesses Image on the left side of the cake, I wanted it to say, (on the right side) "HAPPY BIRTHDAY," then my niece's name. At the bottom right hand corner, "LOVE, TIO and TIA". The following day my husband came to pick up the cake. The party was held 30 minutes away so he needed to hurry and get the cake there on time. When I saw the cake, I was very very disappointed. I expected to see a lot better and more presentable than "H.B. (then my niece's name)"! Every adult should know what an "H.B." stands for but I was very embarrassed that I had to explain to every kid in there what those two letters stands for. And, what I was really upset about as well was, the handwriting was so horrible. It could've done better. I've ordered total of TWO birthday cakes from this same branch before and I had always been satisfied. But this THIRD cake, is going to be my last one. The cake from CARVEL in OSSINING was the most ugliest cake I've ever seen. I think I deserve a lot better than this $62 worth of cake. I hope something should be done about that. I have a proof of the cake and I'm sure, anyone who sees it would be as very disappointed as I am.
