BEWARE* Exclusive installed a higher end pool & spa for us in early 2013. Communication, attention to detail, quality and customer service fell far below what we expected. Worst of all they refused to stand behind their failing product less than two years after installation.



The first thing we were asked when we inquired with them was who referred us, because they would receive a $200 referral fee. We gave them the name of our friends who referred us. Throughout the entire pool build process, even after we paid our final bill in full we were promised that our friends would be paid their referral fee. It is now 2-years later and they were never paid.



During construction we had many problems with lack of communication and lack of attention to detail. There were several quality issues including the paver deck installed incorrectly and at the wrong elevation, dents & scratches on the aluminum enclosure and final rough grading being left too low. After we complained most of these items did get corrected; although not all of them. Additionally the wrong style of rock wall was installed on our spa. They did offer to correct the rock wall on the spa, but by that point we didn’t want another multiple week delay on a project that was already behind schedule.



The final straw has been that recently our LED spa light stopped working. Upon investigation it appears the light was installed incorrectly causing water to leak inside of the light housing. The corrosion inside of the light indicates that this problem existed long before we discovered it. We called Exclusive and they told us the warranty was one year and quoted me $450 to replace the light. They were unwilling to stand behind their product or their installation.



On top of everything else their customer service is terrible, communication is strained and they are combative to their clients.

Exclusive Pools built our pool in 2011 and we couldn't be happier with our choice to work with them. The pool is a 19,000 gallon salt water, 40x20 free form, with a large raised spa, custom real rock waterfall, and all Hayward equipment. This was our second pool build in two years so we had a good idea of what we were looking for and needed a quality builder.



We were new to the area, and compared Exclusive Pools to two other companies in the area during contracting/design. I found Exclusive to be the easiest to work with for my design changes, and their price was very competitive. The final strong point in my selection is that Pat and Cheryl own and run the business with a personal touch. I anticipated and it proved true that the personal touch would carry through all phases of the construction.



Construction was fast and efficient, with Pat personally inspecting all phases. If Pat saw any variances he addressed them before I knew they were even there. Where sub-contractors were used they did excellent work, and they had very kind things to say about Exclusive Pools also which is always a good indicator of a quality run business. Also, if you want a waterfall, ask for Robert - the nicest guy and perfect craftsmanship.



The final product is fantastic in operation and aesthetics. We simply couldn't be happier and find ourselves spending much of our time in or around the pool. We've had two minor warranty issues in the equipment and they were addressed very quickly and thoroughly.



One final note on Pat and Cheryl's personal touch. The pool was 99.9% complete on Memorial day weekend when we started filling it. Pat came out on a Sunday morning to manually start up the system and chlorine so we could use it on the Holiday weekend. Top notch.
