Provided by SuperpagesWe moved to the Riverview 3 years ago from the Westchase area and were looking for a good quality place to take our business, Divine Salon seemed to be the place; and it was for a while. Quality stayed the same for the last 2 years and customer service has been declining, this last year the overall quality and cleanliness of the place is clearly down; customer service has declined sharply to say the least.Five issues this year so far and the one on Saturday was the last. They have lost us as customers. And with that our +$3k we spend there. Here are the latest three:I started to go less and less after an incident involving me calling to pay for my wife's services, once in a while I like to surprise her and for 2.5 years they have always accommodated. When I called in to pay for her service the person on the phone denied to do this and stated I needed to fill out a form, I explained I was at work and had done this multiple times and did not understand what was the issue...after 35 minutes on the phone (filling out the form) he acknowledges all was good and settled. When my wife finished and went out, she was charged for the services, disregarding my instructions. I stopped by after work to see what had happened and the response I got NEXT TIME IT WOULD BE BEST TO BUY A GIFT CARD FOR HER IN ADVANCE...What!?!? What this clueless person forgot to research on my account, was that I buy $1,000 to $2,000 gift cards for my wife and mother every year. Since they would not care for my time or wishes, this was the last time I visited until last month.The second incident happened to my mom, trying to buy a gift card for my wife. Same issue...multiple paperwork, 20 questions, all this personal information to sell you a freaking gift card; my mom denied them this information, as she only wanted a $250 gift card to gift away and now she is getting interrogated. Apparently, they need a recipient for it...so if you change your mind or decide to give it to someone else you are f@cked. The rude person at the reception desk told her THOSE ARE THE RULES HERE AND IF SHE DID NOT PROVIDE ALL THE INFORMATION SHE COULD NOT SELL HER A GIFT CARD. What a narrowminded way of conducting business.Lastly, this happened this Saturday (11/4/17). I showed up for a haircut as the person I cut my hair, in another salon, with now was on vacation. My 4-year-old decide that he wanted to tag along, as he has done multiple times with my wife and me, and we got there to be received by an overzealous receptionist that right way made me know kids were not allowed in the salon; I told her he's been back before and never had an issue. Instead of checking me in, she decided to call the manager and not check me in. A person that I have never seen in the salon before showed up, claiming to be the manager, and quoted some bogus county code (my lawyer checked and there is no such code, so this is now a discrimination case) as the reason for not letting us in; so, when I asked her "Are you expecting me to leave my 4-year-old in the waiting room?", she had said NO, HE CANNOT STAY HERE EITHER...so is this person expecting me to leave my kid in the car or what?. Two more customers where there and clearly got irritated at this blatant mistreatment. At this point, I did not give two dams about my appointment and left. Called the BBB from the car and filed a complaint and now I am taking this online.WE WILL NEVER GO BACK. WE WILL LET EVERYONE WE KNOW AND HAVE RECOMMENDED TO THAT PLACE TO STOP GOING.TO THE OWNER: When your processes and paperwork get in the way of the customer experience, you need to rethink the way you do business. Not sure you know what type of business you are running, what is not is a financial institution or a mortgage company...they do not even ask for that much forms and paperwork. You are in the SERVICE business and accommodating your customers should be your ONLY and MAIN priority.

She is very professional and gracious. As a monthly client, I look forward to my appointments with Diana to chat and stay updated while she performs her magic on my hair. She truly is a gem and a great asset to the company.

Provided by SuperpagesI've been going to this salon for over 5 years. Daisy does a fantastic job, always professional, pays close attention to detail and my highlights and hair cut last a long time. She makes me and my hair feel great. The salon is beautiful and the staff are very efficient. I recommend this salon and Daisy to the many people I know.

Provided by SuperpagesI had a great visit to divine desings on sunday. I have never written a review but this spa was so excellent that I had to share my experience. I was treated like a vip from my check in to my check out - I had four treatments a massage (antoine?) a facial (jame) and a manicure/pedicure (i dont remember her name) - every treatment was spectacular - and the best part is that at check-out, I was asked if I wanted to get on their email list they would give me their current email promotional price on the day's services - which I had a gift card for $250 - but the email promotion was $159!! They didn't have to do that and in today's economy for them to give me a $90 discount on my services was incredible - I booked a 75 minute massage for next weekend with the saved money and I have to tell you that I am so impressed by the way they treated me, I will never go anywhere else. I am a sold customer for life and would highly recommend Divine Designs.

Provided by SuperpagesAbsolutely fabulous place, my wife and I just celebrated our anniversary there and I must state that it's the best treat we've ever given ourselves. The staff were extremely professional talented and courteous. I would highly recommend this spa and we will be back!

Provided by YP.comI'm writing this review the morning after my enlightening afternoon experience at Divine Designs Salon And Spa.
Honestly, I wasn't expecting too much from a salon experience. Especially with today's very troubled economy, I really can't afford to spend an exorbitant amount of money on my hair. My problem is two-fold; since I was born and raised in New York City and have come to expect more from a salon experience than I've been able to find here in Florida. I don't mean to slight other salons here in Florida, but the reality is that it's just not the same experience.
So, having the assistance of talented, professional hair technicians that only Hollywood starlets can afford was merely but a pipe dream of mine... until now. Divine Designs Salon And Spa completely changed my level of expectation across the board!
Upon my arrival, I was warmly greeted at the door by the very handsome Frank; who very promptly put me at total ease in their establishment. He offered me a glass of wine while I dutifully filled out the brief client information form. The girls at the reception area were equally as polite and thoughtful.
Divine Designs Salon And Spa offers three tiers of stylists: Junior (mentored by the higher-tiered professionals), Divine (which offers advanced experience and skill versus what you'd find anywhere else), and Pro; which quite honestly speaks for itself. Considering the extensive damage previously done to my hair by a salon of equal or higher price, I opted for one of their Pro-tiered technicians. Really, you WILL NOT find a better price ANYWHERE ELSE; especially for the quality services they provide. Trust me; I've already done my homework...
After just a few moments after my arrival, my hair technician [Marsha] came to greet me in the reception area and escorted me back to her workspace area. The cutting area was a very intimate experience, as there were no rows of stations that you normally see in salons, and no other clients gawking at you through wall-to-wall mirrors.
I truly can't say this enough; the experience was completely top-shelf, as are their other product and service offerings.
I walked in with chemically-burned shoulder-length hair, and was prepared for the realistic necessity to have the dead hair cut away to reveal my naturally soft-textured light-brown hair to start over with, again. Marsha really listened to my concerns and took serious note as to how I envision my hairstyle once it grows back out to shoulder-length. She understood that, more important to me than length, was my desperate need of a healthy, vibrant head of hair. Lo and behold, the result was an adorable short cut and style; flattering my face, and feeling like a new woman!
I really cannot find the words to describe my complete satisfaction with Divine Designs Salon And Spa.
I really do hope my review helps other girls in the Brandon/Tampa FL area live out their "Xanadu Hair Experience" as I have, with Divine Designs Salon And Spa.
If you're dreading your next "Russian Roulette" hair appointment at your latest "this-is-as-close-to-satisfied-with-my-hair-appointment-as-I-will-probably-ever-come" salon shop, but fantasizing about walking out of a salon on cloud nine, time and time again; this is your place!

Provided by SuperpagesI had the full massage treatment and had my hair done. Everyone there was exceptionally nice and very professional. I will continue all of my hair and spa needs here and will never go elsewhere.
