Provided by YP.comI had a whining noise from belt area on Highlander 2007. Suspected alternator issue.
I called Alan around 10am and he recalled within an hour with replacement costs. He offered a better spec alternator for a minimal additional cost.
He fitted me in to the schedule for the afternoon and completed the job quickly and efficiently.
Some auto repair businesses have a poor reputation but I would recommend Alan and Son for service, quality and integrity.

Provided by SuperpagesRead the reviews on various sites and decided to give them a try. I could not be HAPPIER with the work that they performed. Extremely friendly, courteous, knowledgeable and fair with pricing. I will be using them moving forward!! Highly recommend you check these guys out!! Unlike any other mechanic I have worked with in the past.

Provided by YP.comI brought my 2004 Saturn Ion to Alan & Son for a transmission oil change back in June 2010. This car has a continuously variable transmission that is sealed (no dipstick) and requires specific steps and parts when servicing.
In the past, I have usually brought my car to a Saturn dealer for service beyond the routine oil change. When GM discontinued its Saturn line, I knew I would soon need a new reliable shop for my car. Since this was the first time I was bringing any car to Alan & Son, I brought with me a Haynes Repair Manual to point out the particulars about my car's transmission. Alan & Son did not take offense to my bringing the manual but rather welcomed and asked to borrow it.
After the work, Alan & Son iterated that they installed a new OEM drain plug and added the DEX-CVT fluid additive, all required for proper transmission service.
The test of time seven months later, I am delighted to say that Alan & Son performed the work correctly as my car continues to run smoothly.
