Bob & Fran’s Factory Direct was opened in 1989 by Bob and Fran Schuler along with son-in-law Vince Kline. Bob & Fran had owned the Gambles store across the street for many years before opening Bob & Fran’s Factory Direct. Soon after son-in-law Ted Franz joined the staff and several years later his wife Julie also started working at Bob & Fran’s. In 2005, Bob & Fran retired and were bought out by son-in-laws and daughters Dennise and Vince Kline and Julie and Ted Franz. Through the years family members have helped staff the business. Currently Riley Kline leads the delivery crew and Derek Franz is their certified service technician and also does many of the furniture repairs. Bob & Fran’s Have 4-floors covering 18,000 square feet for their showroom. They belong to Brand Source which is a national buying group. Brand Source has over 4500 dealers and more than 14 billion dollar buying power. That has helped Bob & Fran’s compete with the big box stores. Customers get the prices of the box stores with the care and service of a mom & pop store. Currently Bob & Fran’s is staffed by 7 full-time people and 2 part-time .
