I use to love this doc office. The doctors are great but the office is horrible about paperwork and scheduling. First off I was scheduled with Jennifer for a pre-op and and I sat in the office for over an hour before I was seen. Then sat waiting for the paperwork to find out that Jennifer had to wait for another doctor to sign it. The paperwork was suppose to be sent over for her surgery. I am now sitting at the operation center waiting for paperwork. My daughter is 21 months and doesn't understand why we wouldn't give her milk or food. This is not the first time. I have 4 children and I am now looking for a new pediatrician.

Amazing Practice 2 Locations!

I am reporting my review as I go to both offices depending on my schedule.

I moved up from Broward County and was concerned about my son's development. I transferred up to a palm beach branch of the same big pediatric group I had in Lauderdale. I was frustrated at hearing, "boys talk later, he's a big boy so it's harder to move" etc... Time was slipping by and this wasn't my first child I knew something was wrong. On the recommendation from a mom I met at the park she said, "take you child to see Dr. Jennifer the nurse practitioner or Dr. Kris the physician at Seitz Pediatrics. I was able to get an appointment with "Dr. Jen the Nurse Practitioner" and the first thing she said to me after Hi, and hello and playing with my son was: "why do you think your son is not talking? Or walking?" Rather than tell me her thoughts she wanted my input on my son. I was floored. After a very thorough exam, she informed me we had bilateral chronic ear fluid and we needed to go to an Ear Nose and Throat Specialist. She informed me that bilateral ear fluid can cause hearing loss and balance difficulties. The other pediatricians said "teething fluid, virus, allergies it's normal etc.." Dr. Jen called the ENT, we had an appointment in 2 days and that is when we found out my son only had 10% hearing in both ears. We had tubes placed in a week and within 2 weeks my son started speaking and was better at crawling. Within a month he was walking. A few of the physicians at the Broward and Palm Beach big corporate pediatric practice said sometimes children who don't speak can eventually develop Autism but to early to tell. Imagine my relief when it was explained that hearing is everything from loud sounds to quite whispers and my son could only hear loud sounds, not speaking tones. I am forever grateful for this practice. For my other child, we saw Dr. Kris for a rash that 3 dermatologists called eczema on the hands. It would come and go, the dermatologist office was closed and I was able to see Dr. Kris. Dr. Kris diagnosed a reaction to Mangos. We treated the rash avoided Mangos and we haven't seen it since. These are but 2 of many examples of why this practice is amazing. The biggest thing is they listen to the concerns of parents.

With regards to the parent who complained of insurance billing discrepancies. All practices charge a standard fee to the insurances. If you look at the explanation of benefits you will see a bill of $120.00 for a well visit yet your insurance usually pays $75.00 and the rest is written off. If a practice charges $50.00 for the level of visit,as all visits have billing levels, the insurance will pay $20-$25. Just look at your explanation of benefits and you will see. The practice is not "milking" the insurance companies. They are trying to help parents who may have lost a job, found themselves uninsured or whose employer no longer offers insurance coverage due to the economy. When I was "private pay" in Broward, when I was between jobs, I paid $120 to my previous pediatrician for a well visit my child needed for school. If this practice is charging less, it's because they are trying to help the parents.

If there ever is a miscommunication with the front staff tell the provider they will fix the problem. I cannot recommend this practice enough. While there is no such thing as perfect, in my eyes they are pretty darn close!! Nothing is as important than the health and development of a child and this practice understands that.
