The Florida Beachcomber Family Center for Alcoholism and Addiction Recovery is a Holistic/privately owned Florida drug abuse and addiction treatment center on the Atlantic Ocean in Delray Beach, Florida. The Beachcomber addiction treatment center specializes in the Holistic treatment of alcoholism, substance or drug abuse and chemical dependency in an intimate seaside environment limited to 16 residents at any time.

The Beachcomber, a Florida addiction treatment center, was founded in 1976 to help individuals and families afflicted with the devastating illness of alcoholism and drug addiction. We combine a structure and discipline of intense therapeutic programs with the support and experience of a sober community.

The Beachcomber provides in-patient substance abuse and rehabilitative service where hope and fulfillment begin to replace fear, anger and loneliness to all eligible applicants seeking treatment. At The Beachcomber, the Holistic Approach applies to our total environment in addition to traditional treatments to addiction we also offer Rapid Resolution Therapy, Emotional Freedom Techniques Therapy (EFT), Yoga, Acupuncture and Light-Sound Neurotherapy to help our patients deal with the symptoms of withdrawal. The impact of alcoholism and addiction on spirit, the spiritual, is often difficult to understand and confront. "Spiritual bankruptcy" enmeshes to chemical dependency and goes often neglected in early stages of recovery. The Beachcomber Addiction Treatment Center treats patient Spirituality as a clear component of their recovery.

My name is Chris Kaufteil. Let me just start out by saying that I was the hopeless variety alcoholic. I am from South Florida and have been through almost every in network facility from Dade to Palm Beach county. I am forever grateful the family owned and operated Beachcomber in Delray Beach along with their Intensive Outpatient program. I choose to come to the Beachcomber in March of 2015. Being my 11th or 12th treatment center in the past 5 years I thought It was going to be another "turn and burn" experience like many other South Florida facilities. Most facilities that I have been through aside from this place was like a factory and that's an understatement. The Beachcomber is unique in a sense that the staff takes a personal interest in your emotional well being along with your physical safety. I am the addict who never had more than 60 days outside of a residential facility. I now have 4 months and its all attributed to God and the 12 steps which were both brought to light by the care and concern of the Beachcomber ambience and staffing. I have never felt so secure and safe to share some of my deeply rooted issues than when I was a client at the Beachcomber. This 16 bed program allowed me the opportunity to work on issues never exposed in previous attempts at other treatment centers. I am now in aftercare though their Intensive Outpatient program and have been for the past 9-10 weeks also participating in the Relapse Prevention workshop. God Bless!

Yours Truly,

Christopher Kaufteil

This place is great. My parents and I found this place for my brother about 4 years ago. He was heavy into drugs and I thought I had lost him. He had changed so much, at times I hated him because he was not the boy i grew up with, he was something different, something darker-his moods were always drastically changing. After we got him to Beachcomber , everything changed. he was fully rehabilitated and was back to being the fun loving, wonderful, happy, intelligent and kind sister I knew and loved. She is now in school and working full time and has his own house and is thriving in all aspects of life. I thank God everyday for giving my family and I this place because they contributed to not only saving my brother's life, but every life that he would come in contact with in the future. Many Thanks.

Unique Pogram

It is a nice small treatment center with plenty of activities to keep busy with. The facilities are nice and cozy, and every one enjoys hanging around the fountain outside talking. Good help from staff and only a few yards from the beach. Enjoyed the beach on the afternoons with the others. Also some very good food everyday.

Overall a very nice place to get help with drug and alcoholic addictions.

Amenities
Three Hundred and Five stepsThats how far you walk before the asphalt turns to sand and the Atlantic Ocean comes into view. And in three hundred and five steps the world opens up and there is nothing but golden sand stretching for miles in each direction. The vast Atlantic greets you. The waves pound the shore and the thrumming of the surf fills your ears. It is here that you begin. Here is where we help. It is in this type of environment that the Beachcomber thrives in. Our facility centers around The Holistic approach which focuses on finding serenity and peace with oneself and your environment.
Associations
By demonstrating compliance with JCAHOs national standards year-after-year, we voluntarily meet the highest standards for health care quality and safety, Director Joseph Bryan stated. My father, James Bryan, often said that achieving accreditation by JCAHO was how we would always demonstrate commitment to alcoholics and drug abusers who came to us.Everyone on our staff plays a vital role in working to meet the standards set. It gives them a feeling of prestige to work in an accredited treatment organization, he said. They also appreciate the educational aspect of the surveys and the opportunity to interact with Joint Commission surveyors.
