I was referred to Shane's through a friend of mine. I asked around and several of my mutual friends have also gone there. My first experience was great. His guys are awesome and the customer service was great. He was honest about the repairs that needed to be made and even told me how much longer I could go before I needed new brakes. The quotes were the best in the area. The service and workmanship keeps me coming back and makes it we'll worth the drive from south Ogden. Thanks Shane! Keep up the good work.

I took my jeep to Shane a few months ago. Sean took care of all my problems in a professional manner that has made me a customer for life when it comes to my vehicles. I just bought a Durango from a dealer here in Bountiful and took it to Shane's to find out it need's $2500 worth of work to make it right. Sean showed me everything that was wrong with it and never did he push anything on me that I didn't need. TO ANYONE WHO TRASHES THEIR WORK OR THEIR UPFRONT WAY OF TAKING CARE OF YOUR CAR AND GETTING IT RIGHT ARE WRONG.MY JEEP WAS BLEEDING FROM ALL GASKETS AND SEALS AND FOR SEAN I SAY THANK YOU!

I took my truck to Shane's automotive for an oil change and the service was great! Not only was it in and out fast I was notified that I needed my tires to be rotated, they did that with no questions or further price. Defiantly will go back for any problems that I have with my vehicle. Thanks Shane's automotive.

I have taken my jeep to Shane's ever since I can remember and have had nothing but awesome things to say about the service and repairs. There warranty is second to none and will always repair it under warranty even if i break it. I personally will not take my vehicles to anyone else. Shane and his crew are always honest and fair and never try and repair anything that really doesn't need it. Thanks, Kasey S.

My son took his very old car (89 Corolla with 280,000) to Shane's this summer because of loud exhaust noise and bad smells. The problem was a loose exhaust clamp. Shane's crew could have easily sold my son a new muffler and exhaust pipe, but treated him with honesty and integrity. $10 for the clam and the installation. they also showed him a few maintenance issues that he would need to deal with, and how he could handle them himself. If your car is not under a dealer warranty, take it to Shane's!!

If you are looking for a mechanic, I would suggest going to Shanes Automotive. I have followed Shane from the last business he worked at to this one. I have never been disappointed with the service I get from him. I have taken several of my vehicles to him and have always gotten my vehicle back when promised and paid the amount they quoted me. I have also suggested to my family and others to take their cars to him. The last vehicle I purchased, I even took to him to have him check out to see if it was a good vehicle. He checked it out at no cost to me. I have gone to other places, and have gotten the "here comes a dumb woman" feeling. But have never gotten that attitude at Shane's. I drive over 25 miles one way and pass many other mechanic shops to take my car to Shane's. And will continue too in the future.

Shane has been doing repairs on my vehicles the past 19 years. He honest, hard working, and has integrity about all his customer service and repairs. I am greeted with a very warm hello and "let's see what's going on today". Shane has loaned me his personal vehicle if additional repairs need to be done. My vehicles are repaired in a timely manner and the prices are very reasonable. I recommend him to all my family and friends. Great place to go to for vehicle repairs.

All four reviews for today January the 10th are all 5 stars. Another recent review on the 7th. But again all five stars. Seems very fishy to me. Also the review by MFoerster says he for the past 25 years. But Shane's Automotive only been in business since 2009 at this location. Please please please. If you take your car there and they tell you a price and how long it will take. Call around. Call the dealership first, then call 3 or 4 repair shops to see if Shane's Automotive is being fair and honest. Also ask to see the computer screen after they input your vehicle information. If it's not cheaper then go somewhere else. I wonder how many people they have ripped off in the past. I feel sorry for them that believed every word that Shane's Automotive has said. I learned from my mistakes and will be doing this from now on. But I won't ever go back to Shane's Automotive.

Shane is excellent at his job he is the guy I go to when I need any help with my cars. I prefer to use his help over many others. Thanks Shane keep up the good work

I have been taking my vehicles to Shane for over 25 years. He has always been fair about the price and has actually refunded $$$ to me when a recall was found AFTER he had performed the work. The dealership have me a big hassle about the recall but Shane helped me through the process. He has always been honest & fair. I only wish he had a shop closer to where I currently live.

I have been going to Shane for over 30 years. He has always been fair and honest with me. I have sent many people to him and they have been equally satisfied. His employees are always helpful and have always answered my questions. I am a single blonde female. And yes an easy target who knows nothing about car maintenance. I have never felt taken advantage of or misled on how much I was being charged for work done on my vehicle. I highly recommend this shop for their great work, honesty and integrity.

Shane's is my place. I have always taken all my vehicle problems to him and he always is upfront with the charges and wants to get it on the best situation. Even the employees are easy to get along with and they even allow me to watch the process and show how and what they are doing. I've never worried about pricing for parts because I for one, enjoy putting quality parts into my vehicle. So I love the fact that my money that I spend on my vehicle is going to a great man and a unbelievable friend!

Needed a muffler put on no one wanted to do it asked around Bountiful tire said to go there had no problems, the customer service was great thanks Shane and Sean(Redneck)

I thought I could trust Shane and his employees. Unfortunately they proved me wrong. My 1996 Ford Taurus needed a new oil pan gasket. Shane himself told me 2.7 hours and the total would be $370. I called the dealership and they told me 2.2 hours and it would be $300 dollars. I called two other automotive repair places and they were both less than $300 and also the same labor at 2.2 hours. I called Shane's Automotive and talked to them about this. I talked to Shane and told me in a condescending tone "okay, so why don't you go to the dealership?". I told him I was. I wanted to know why he was charging more? He told me "well, we use Alldata". I told him the dealership uses the same program. He couldn't give me an answer. Also on my Ford Taurus. They told me for my oil pressure sensor it would be an hour of labor. Again I called around including the dealership and they all said half an hour of labor to replace that. This is not the first time he lied to me. The first time I let it pass but now. I want everyone to know. I had a vacuum leak on the same car. The auto parts store delivery driver came by with the part. I was curious and asked for the part number. I stored the part number on my phone. Later on my car was ready and Shane told me the part was $11. I paid and left. When I was home looked up the part number online from the same auto parts company that delivered it. The part was $7 dollars for the general public!!! I would rather pay hundreds of dollars to an HONEST mechanic than a dishonest mechanic. If you take your vehicle here please please please ask them to show you the computer screen and if they give you a price and how many hours it will take. If they are honest the repair screen would match what they tell you. Call around different automotive repair places while you wait. If it's less money than what Shane's Automotive told you hopefully they will match it. Shane told me a while ago on why he charges less than the dealership. He told me he has less overhead than the dealership. If that's true why was he quoting me a higher price than the dealership? They lost me a customer. Please don't take your vehicle here until Shane and his employees are respectful and HONEST to their customers. Now I have to find a new mechanic to repair my vehicles.

Rip Off! My wife took our Audi for some costly front end work... they over torqued one hub bolt until it snapped and left the others loose (deliberately?). When she picked up the car she went half way down the block and noticed a loud noise coming from tire so she brought it back, they told her it was a bearing and would cost additional money. She opted run on a noisy bearing for a week until we could afford the additional repair... my daughter drove it for a couple of days before the wheel came loose and shredded the tire. At that point I changed the tire I test drove it myself and there was no bearing noise. The noise was the loose lug bolt! I know there is an obvious difference between a noisy bearing a loose tire with a broken lug bold! After putting on the spare I took the car back to explain and the response I got was "too bad for you". That's it! Unbelievable incompetence! DO NOT GO THERE FOR ANYTHING!!!

So my mom's truck over heated yesterday. We drove it down to this shop and parked it. We walked up to two workers and said that we needed help with the truck. They told us to pull it around the front. So we did, we sat there for 20 minutes waiting in the hot sun (by the way I'm pregnant and it was around 102 degrees yesterday so I ended up getting sick.) They never came to check on us they never asked us if we wanted to sit in the shade. They didn't even ask what was wrong with the truck. Anyways after sitting there for around 20 minutes we took my boyfriends car (we drove there so we could leave while they worked on the truck) and drove to an autozone and picked up the correct parts to fix it. Then we had to fix it ourselves in Shane's automotive parkng lot. I am not happy with it at all. We didn't get any help what so ever and I would not want anyone that I know to go there. It was very disappointing.

Really love these guys! They take great care of us, honest work and honest prices. Quick too!

I used to go to Karl's cars on Highway 89 in Bountiful, but he retired 2-3 years ago. I have since been looking for someone with the same honesty and prices and thank goodness I found Shane.

I have been taking my cars to Shane for the past 3 years, and I am never disapointed with his work. Shane will do it right and for cheap. Once I went in with a leaky radiator. About 10 minutes later Shane comes out hands me my keys and says the drain plug was loose and sent me on my way. ( all this is after another shop who shall not be named said I need a radiator flush and a new bottom radiator hose.) thank god for Shane and his honesty.

I was so impressed by the customer service I received at Shane's automotive. He not only bested the competitors price by $200 for my repair, he was able to get my car in and done in the same afternoon. He was courteous and answered all my questions. I plan on using Shane's Automotive from here on out and I will be recommending him to friends and family.
