very disappointed last nite. Tues 9/2/2014 called for help for COPD husband. I was outside waving to them.

Ambulance drove up to culdasac and turned around came back to my drive way and one emt got out and directed driver how to back up into my driveway. then emt pulled out stretcher, blue bag and had other emt grab the chair. I told them there are stairs and he cant get enough oxygen into his lungs. emt grabbed blue bad and went up stairs, I said go up and to the left. He got up to top of stairs and looked both ways. I again said to the left. It is very short hall 5ft. He removed my husbands oxygen and then proceeded to walk him down stairs. By this time my husband was ready to drop. My husband told emt, I need my oxygen.Blue bag was never opened that emt brought in with him. He said dont worry we'll take care of you. Walked husband down the stairs and out the front door, down sidewalk and put him on stretcher. Then emt had to strap him on it, still no oxygen. Emt bounced him all around getting him into ambulance. I watched thru windows of ambulance, one emt was looking for things, the other putting IV in my husband. Still no oxygen, no breathing treatment. Finally I watched emt pull oxygen line from bag and put it on him. He was beathing so hard. I had informed them before hand that my husband had a heart condition also. Always when the emt come to help us, they immediaetly give him breathing treatment, put oxygen on him and take him down stairs in the moble chair they bring. Truck 3012 at 7:30 on Tues 9/2 need to be retrained. My husband could very well died waiting on things to be done to help him. I feel they were not trained on COPD and need to be. My husband is alive hospital personel helped him. But with all this delay and not doing the right things for him could have ended badly.
