I've been in there a few times but the service has not been bad enough to write about until today. I went in with my husband and ordered 1 scrambled egg, hash browns and bacon. I sent the hash browns back because I said they weren't has browns. They were cut in a manner that they were not cooked through. I also sent the eggs back because they were in a puddle of oil. The manager said, "we like to cook in a little oil." I said that it was more then a little. Throughout this situation the manager was going on an on about how they serve there food while I was trying to eat my bacon. I told him, "you do not need to educate me on your restaurant." He would not stop to the point where he told me that I needed to remember to not order hash browns next time. I promptly told him to shut up. I didn't cuss, I didn't raise my voice, but I wasn't taking his lecture any more either. He then told me that I needed to leave because I was rude. I.e. I wouldn't let him tell me what to do any longer. My poor husband felt so bad, he babied me the rest of the day. I wasn't bothered by Stephen the manager, but my husband felt bad that I got kicked out for the first time in 53 years of life. Now some may say that I shouldn't have said "shut up" and I would have an open mind to that argument but I just wasn't taking any more of his arrogance. I am not the captive audience type. It made me click a star, but consider that a minus star and not a plus.

I was very impressed with the quality and quantity of the food. The waiter Dillon was super. I would reccomend Black Bear to all my friends. I remember where I have been by the quality of the food. Keep up the good work.

I have been to Black bear a total of 3 times. I have given them 3 chances and I don't think I will be returning. I really liked the inside of the restaurant, it was decorated very well over all except I found it a little strange that they had pictures of the owners family on the wall. I would rather see pictures of the community. Looked promising over all. I'm always open to trying new restaurants and I'm not usually one to complain. I was seated quickly, but it took a long time to get service. I thought the menu was to big and over all very over whelming. I think the staff was having issues with the menu as well, because of the size. The food was average, and cold when it arrived at my table. Took a long time between drink refills. My server didn't seem trained very well, almost like they didn't know what they were doing, and very rude at times.I gave them 3 chances thinking they were a new business, and would improve over time, but seems like they just got worse over time.
