We started receiving phone calls from this company 3 months ago. We received an automated message saying "IT IS IMPERATIVE THAT YOU RETURN THIS CALL" or whatever and they were asking for a "C. C***R" so I called back and said, "Well, my fiance's name is S. C****R, so are you sure you have the right person?" they said they would check and make sure, then hung up. My fiance got upset and said I should have told him to pick up the phone because he wanted to make sure he wasn't going to be placed in Collection and that they might have just gotten the "C" name wrong.. So a few days later they called back and my fiance wasn't home so I gave them his cell phone number, when he picked up he said "yes this is C. C***R" thinking they just messed up the name.. HUGE MISTAKE!, they proceeded to tell him him he owed money to Bell Canada and that if he paid half of what he owed now they would remove the collection blah blah.. so my fiance said "Well, no I'm not going to pay right now I want to make sure that I actually do owe Bell money since our account is perfect", then he began to be extremely rude, I mean, name calling, screaming, shouting, you name it, he actually hung up on him too. The next day my fiance called Bell and they said that his account was perfect and he didn't owe any money, so he waited for the next phone call from Action Collections to ask them to remove the number from the list that they had the wrong person. When they called, they were very rude, I actually can't believe that people can be overly nasty like that.. so we started ignoring the phone calls for about a month and a half, but it got very irritating since they were calling my fiance's cell phone and not the home phone. So I called the head office 2 days ago, the person was a little more polite and said he would remove us from the list and actually APPOLIGISED.. was it sincere? maybe not, I don't care at this point. So anyway, we received another annoying phone call yesterday and I said we had removed our number, he then proceeded to talk over me and saying "Ma'am, ma'am, ma'am LISTEN, IT TAKED UP TO 24 HOURS FOR THE SYSTEM TO REMOVE YOUR NUMBER SO CALM DOWN!" then hung up. seriously? Oh, and I will also add, that it was ALWAYS the same person we spoke to on the phone, always the same rude guy, except for when I called the head office.. So that's that, I guess we'll have to wait and see if the "phone number removal" is going to work...

I called about an error on my credit report and they instantly got nasty and rude. They will not listen to you and will talk over you, even f you have a valid issue. They tell you that you will not speak and only listen. You ask them not to get out of control with you and when you do, they have this tactic of telling you that you are the rude one and then demand payment in full. Their client wrote them a letter telling them that it was in error and they still refused to remove the item from my history. They brag on getting you to pay even if you don't owe it. Their CEO would not return my phone call to discuss their treatment of people trying to resolve an issue

If you ever have to deal with the people in this office I am sorry.Every time I called here they just pushed me off to someone else, and they only put in the conversation parts that help themselves, not the full conversation. They are rude in person and on the phone it is worse. They treat you like your a child and they don't listen to anything. I suggest you write down everyones name you talk to, and record the conversation. Also, they will try and get you for more money than the actual judgement. SO make sure you watch your payments. THe front lobby had bullet holes in the glass, the floor was so dirty I didn't put my kid down, the only chair looked as if someone spilled soda or puked on it. All in all it was gross.
