A couple years ago my basement flooded and I called R&E to get a quote to extract the water from my carpet. When the R&E employee arrive he told me that he wouldn't know the total cost until he was finished, but he did tell me my insurance company would pay the bill. Due to it being the weekend I was unable to reach my insurance company. I asked the R&E employee again, "are you sure my insurance provider will pay the bill?" He promised they would, so I gave him the green light to start working. Two days later the owner of R&E came to my house to check on the progress of the blowers. I ask him how much will it cost and will he send the bill to my insurance company? The owner said, "The cost is around $3300 and NO your insurance will not pay the bill, it's your responsibility. Insurance companies never pay when it's floods from the outside." At that time I told him to stop what he was doing and pull his equipment out of my house because I cannot afford this service.
