They dropped my car off the hydraulic lift, i found out today 5-11-17. They have no business insurance according to Sam. The ppl that work for him are inexperienced and have no business operating machinary. The worst part is they tried to cover it up. Sam said he already had parts ordered to fix it. You cant fix a totaled car, not correctly. And you cant fix stupid either. Bottom line stay away from that place. The police officer T. Bragg from the Sullivan County Sheriffs Department said the report would be ready on 5-15-17 so that means its public record, look it up.

I've had my transmission fixed by them or lack there of should I say about 4 months ago. I'm now having to take it somewhere else to get it completely fixed They say they give you a warranty but they don't. Run do not use these people. They are dishonest and they told a very very long time to get it running 1/2 way. Seriously do not use these people

Today is April 17, 2013. Mr White at East Transmission has had my car since Feb 9th, 2013. The transmission was leaking and wouldn't change out of 1st gear. I told him the problem. He rebuilt the transmission (so he said) and brought it home on the 22nd of Feb. I paid him 1,344.00 (check) The next morning a stream of transmission fluid was running from underneath. He came and took the car back to his shop.......and it's been downhill ever since. He can't get the part, they sent the wrong part, failed to send all of the part, he had someone out sick and one time I stopped at his place and he told me he hadn't had a bay open to work on it. He has promised me four different times he would have my car finished on a certain date and that date comes and no car. I took him to small claims court on April 11th, which was on a Thursday, and he called me on Tuesday and said if I would drop the case he would absolutely have my car finished by Friday. He called me Friday and said he didn't get it finished that it would be Monday.. Monday came and no car, no phone call. Today is Wednesday. I've been back to the court house to file another claim. I want my car back!!!! I wish I had read all these complaints before I let him have my car. Good Grief. Lesson Learned. Please don't take your car to him.

I TOOK MY LEXUS IN AND THE YOUNG GUYS WORKING AT THE SHOP KILLED IT. THE OWNER SAM WILL TAKE NO RESPONSIBILITY AT ALL. ON THE WAY HOME FROM THE SHOP THE TRANSMISSION LOCKED UP AND BLEW THE ENGINE . NOW ITS SITTING IN MY FRONT YARD .I HAVE CONTACTED THE BBB THEY HAVE HAD SEVERAL COMPLAINTS ON SAM . MY NEXT STOP IS THE LAWYERS OFFICE.

My daugter took her car her for what I thougt was a simple reair it has turned in to a money pit . They have kept her car for over 2 weeks and when I go by to checkon it there is something else wrong. I just picked it up and took it home and cut my losses.

ITS NOW WONDER WHE YOU GO TO PICK UP YOU CAR OR CHECK ON IT HES IN COURT. HE NEVER FINISHES A JOB I HAD MY CARE AT THE YARD FOR OVER 4 WEEKS THEY CHARGE OVER $1200 AND ITS WORSE THAN IT WAS WHEN I TOOK IT IN . IAM WAITING TO HEAR FROM MY LAWYER AT THIS TIME ALSO I WILL BE FILLING A BBB REPORT . HE HAS ONE EXCUSE AFTER ANOTHER , HE IN COURT FOR ONE THING OR ANOTHER . HE HAS A VERY BAD REPUTAION IN THIS AREA NOW AND HE DID IT TO HIMSELF ITS ALL ABOUT GETTING YOU MONEY AND THEN PUT YOU OFF A LONG AS HE CAN..

Man I was reading these reviews and can't understand why people are trashing Sam so bad, I took my car in a couple of months ago, he couldn't fix it that week because parts were not immediatly available, but he called and told me when the parts would get there then and how long it would take to fix my car things were done when they said they would be done and he was very patient with me because I did take it back after I kept hearing noises I hadn't paid attention to before in the engine and his son even tightened somethings up for me no charge and taught me a couple of things about a car, so I'm really happy with them and think you guys should probably give them a chance before totaly trashing them if you were not happy.

Please do NOT go, no matter how cheap, or how nice he sounds, he is a crook! He has had my car for months and just now went and picked it up! He had it one time and said it was fixed to drive it about 300 miles and it should start working (bc it was worse than it had been when we first took it) so I drove it 300 miles and it was just getting worse, so we took it back has had it for months. It is never ready when he says it will be. He had so many excuses, (wife had to go to hospital, one of his men was sick, waiting on part (used that one A LOT), and several others. My grandfather the one that paid ($1300) (paid the first time) had to go up there several times a week, and ask when would it be ready, he'd say tomorrow, then Grandpa would call he'd provide an excuse one time he went up there said it will be ready by noon tom. grandfather went to pick it up, he said its not ready he said you told me yesterday it'd be ready by noon. He said I did? SUCH A LIAR. well anyways went to pick it up today and the bumper was hanging off the front, he broke six different clips that held the bumper on and claimed it was that way when I brought it. MY BUMPER WAS CLEARLY ON WHEN I BROUGHT IT, IT OUGHT TO BE BACK ON WHEN I LEAVE WITH IT. Trans changed smoothly most of way home and started acting up again. Think we are going to SUE! (also, we threatened to take him to court, and he got it done real quick after that.) But I think we really will take him, this has been ridiculous, If this can help anyone to keep from taking their vehicle to him, it will make my day. He will screw you over, and is the biggest crook i've ever met. He needs to be sued for everything he's worth - which I am sure isn't much!

I have many cars thats been worked on there over the years Sam knows what hes doing and has good prices and warrentys.people need to understand business nobody is perfect and things dont happen the way we wont all the time.Maybe he needs to improve his business but his work is good.

This place is the biggest joke... not even worth the one star! Took my car to him to have the 2nd gear synchronizer replaced; he said two days, it took 4 days and cost $100 more than he estimated... which is ok. Less than one week later, the 2nd gear went out again. We immediately took it to him to fix because it was under warranty. By this time, we had read all of these bad reviews and were hesitant to even go there again. Two WEEKS later, he still has my car. He almost never answers the phone, won't return calls; at first he answered immediately but now he knows we are mad, he must have caller ID and avoids customers who he is screwing. He gives a sad story, and even says "God Bless You" on his answering machine, but he LIES all the time to try to keep you happy. He will say that he has it on the lift finishing it now and it will be ready this afternoon, then something comes up, and he says the next day, then the next. We are getting no where. He has the car torn apart so we can't mo

I wish I could give a negative rating!! I chose to go with Sam's Transmission because when I called him, he seemed like a nice, Christian man. BOY WAS I WRONG!! We had our car towed to his shop 05/03/10 to have the trans rebuilt. We picked it up 05/10/10. Sam wanted us to pay the $1867 IN CASH because he said the banks would be closed by the time we got there and he had to pay his guys. Should've known something fishy was going on. We had the car 5 days and trans went out again. He towed it to shop & we picked it up 4 or 5 days later. We had it for 2 days and trans went out once more. He towed it back to shop 050/27/10 and we have not had possession of the car since!!!!! He avoids our calls--and we know this because when we call from someone else's phone, he ALWAYS answers. We are always told "they" sent wrong part, will have it tmrw. We usually have to drive up to shop and we are given same lame excuse. AVOID THIS JERK!! WE ARE HAVING TO SUE!!

I had my transmission rebuilt at East transmission in Bristol Tn. I used them because of both price and that they offered a 1 year warranty. They did the repair quickly but the receipt does not give much information. I would recommend anyone ask for details of the work and have Sam sign it. After around 6 months the rebuilt transmission went out while 120 miles from home. I attempted to contact them but had no luck. I had to get a hotel for the night and rent a U-Haul with a dolly to tow my car back to their shop on the 15th of Dec 2009. It is now the 26th of May 2010 and still the transmission is not repaired.I have been lied to so many times that I lost count. Most of the time I can not reach Sam by phone and he hardly ever returns a message. Most of the time I have to drive to the shop to talk to him and he always tells me it will be ready tomorrow or in 2-3 days.Sam always has some excuse but several times he has told me that they have it together and just have to put
