Roosevelt Middle School is an educational institution that serves more than 1,350 students in grades six through eight. It started as a junior high school in 1965 and converted to a middle school in 1992. The school s staff includes more than 90 teachers, counselors and special service personnel and nearly 40 cooks, custodians, secretaries and paraprofessionals. Located in Blaine, Minn., it is a part of Anoka-Hennepin School District 11, which operates several elementary, middle and high schools. Roosevelt Middle School s academic curriculum includes various subjects, such as math, business education, family and consumer science and industrial technology. It also offers various extracurricular programs in art, music, and health and physical education. The school offers medical care and guidance and counseling services. In addition, the school operates various student organizations and clubs and offers English as a second language.
