Leonard Funeral Home was founded in 1920 by Floyd C. & Lucille Leonard with a $100 bill that was given to the couple as a wedding present. The original funeral home location was in downtown Bixby. Over the years, the Leonard Funeral Home has been blessed with a wonderful reputation of providing care and comfort to area families and is recognized as one of the oldest family-owned businesses in Tulsa County. The funeral home was purchased in 1992 by Mike & Pam Marker and became known as Leonard & Marker Funeral Home. In June of 2003, the funeral home moved into its new beautiful facility at 151st St. & Sheridan, across from the Bixby Cemetery. In knowing that visiting a funeral home can sometimes cause uneasy feelings for some, Mike & Pam designed their new location with a very warm, inviting and home-like atmosphere. From the many favorable comments received, the most common statement is "this does not feel like a funeral home." Mike & Pam have built their business by follow ing their mission statement, "Thoughtful, Dedicated Service Within the Means of All".
