Ive had lower back pain and nerve pain that at times radiated all the way down my leg. It got to the point that i had to retire after 32 years in the coal mines this year at the age of 53 on disability. Dr Chhabra and John Hartselle P.A. have always tried any way possible to get me the most relief they can. All the staff are excellent, professional and kind and go out of their way to help you from the front desk all the way back.If I called them tomorrow they would get me in as fast as they could to get me the help I need. I feel they have always tried their best and even went above and beyond to help me. I wouldnt go anywhere else.

I HAD A BAD EXPERIENCE WITH WITH JOHN HARTSELL
I had a very bad experience with John C.Hartshell PC-C, I have been going there about 15 years but i had no problems untill Mr.Hartshell started seeing me.Everytime i saw him for a checkup he did'nt examined me & he was alwaya rude to me.OK the last time i saw him was 7 -22-15 he came in the roim with an attitude & he wanted to take me off of my methadone which i have been on for 15 years and put me on a Painpatch which i had already been on before by another M.D.before i started going to Birmingham Pain Center.Irefuse the painpatch because like i said i already done tryed them and it did'nt help but he always refuse to listen to me and he acted like my feeling & pain did'nt matter to him.So he went out of the room and i left.I never had any problems with the rest of the Doctors,Dr.T.Gossman has been always caring,understanding,nice,concern & very helpful.I don't know WHY this one man-John C.HARTSHELL has such a bad feeling towards me but he has been everything but nice to me.Am just a patient in pain and l needed his help!!! Nobody should'nt be treated that way!! Drs. supposed to be caring BUT NOT John C. HARTSHELL.He makes me don't want to live.WHAt have i done,AM 67 years old and God help me,just don't understand how this Dr. Can be so MEAN TO ME, Amen

Dr. Hartsell you are a liar & a a coward , for you to give me one treatment plan & then send another to the pharmacy and then make it not a big deal when I call you about it is heartless and unsympathetic. I did express to you that I woul like to be released slowly due the medication I was on, but you only response was " isn't she interested in going to another facility, even though I had expressed to you that I was worried about my blood pressure becoming an issue due to the pain, and then after me callin daily for a week feeling as if am a junky, you tell me that I can change out my OxyContin by coming by the office to get the correct dosage on a Thursday( like I had them with me), so I want to thank you for ignoring me and throwing me off to your assistant instead of fixing your mess up and because of you I am miserable and don't have allot of trust in doctors at this point.

I have chronic migraines as well as fibromyalgia. I don't know what I would do without their care. All the doctors are wonderful very caring and actually listen to me and care about your pain. I have felt that other doctors feel I am just a drug attic trying to get some meds. That's not true I have a lot of pain but with the medication and the procedures . I can live and in less pain. And do almost everything everyone else does every day and takes for granted. They are a fantastic Group of caring people that I thank God for.

Dr Michael Gibson & John, the Center's physician's assistance have been a Godsend in my life. Following a botched back surgery that left me in incredible pain I was referred to the Center. They took the time to listen & worked with me on the best treatment plan. I've been a patient over five years & would highly recommend them to anyone whose life has been shut down due to chronic pain.
