Standard did a great job unclogging my sink drain and replacing my outside faucet.

The plumber that came to my house was very nice and professional. The price was reasonable and them came out the same day I called.

I was very pleased with the professional and prompt service I received. The pricing I received was VERY reasonable. In the heat of the summer my air conditioner went out. I contacted Standard Air and I was told they were extremely busy; but they would get someone out to find & fix the problem. This was after contacting several other companies where I was told they were to busy to work me in. The technician arrived and within in a short time had my air conditioner running great. The technicians were also friendly and professional. I would definitely reccommend them. Also, if I ever have any other heating/air needs Standard is who I'll be calling.

Although Standard is consistently more expensive than its competitors, the added cost is clearly offset by the professionalism and quality of the work rendered. I have seen the work of other air conditioner companies in the Birmingham area, and it is common to find trash and unused materials laying around. However, the installation technicians at Standard left the area cleaner than it was when they arrived. I looked and looked in my garage and was unable to find even an errant screw that evaded their clean up. Furthermore, when the technician came into my house to adjust my thermostat and make his final check of my system, he wore disposable booties on his feet as not to track any trash in my house. Standard is a quality heating and air conditioning company. I would recommend Standard to anyone

I had a technician come out to my to look at my air conditioner. The fee to to just "look" at the unit is $80. It addition to the fee it cost $140 to check for a leak (this took approximately 30 minutes, 20 of those minutes the technician sat in his van). So $300 later I learned that I had a leak in my unit. Very overpriced!!!

I used Standard Heating and Air for years in two different homes, one of which I purchased an entire new heating AND cooling system for, and when I needed an A/C coil replaced last spring, the price they quoted me was ridiculous. Not knowing anything about A/C costs, I asked someone in home building if it was reasonable, and found out they were trying to take me for a ride.



I called them back, and after confronting the sales person, he immediately knocked off over $400 (total price quoted was $1900) and told me he was giving me a "special" deal.



I found a reasonable deal at two other contractors for $1100 each. Standard, that's some way to treat a faithful customer of 15 years. I shudder to think of all the money they scammed me out of during those 15 years.



Buyers, beware of Standard! And when in doubt, GOOGLE to find out what you should be paying or ask someone who knows.
