Customer service with warranty

My husband and I purchased a couch and a love-seat from furniture land. The products were great on the floor in their show room but when we went to pick it up it was covered in plastic, which seemed fine at the time. The gentleman we were working with explained to us that in order for them to deliver it would cost us $150, so we decided to do it ourselves. We also purchased a 5 year warranty with these couches in the event that anything happened to them. When we arrived home and brought the couches inside, there was a huge rip on the seam on the love seat as well as a broken board on the backside of the couch. It looked like the manufacturer had screwed the screw in the wrong place which caused it to crack. So we called furniture land considering we had a warranty that covered "everything" as well as a one year warranty that the manufacturer offered. They told us they would replace both bottoms of each piece. We discussed the fact that we live over 100 miles from their store so the employee informed us that they have a truck that comes through our town once a month and she would have them drop it by at no cost to us (knowing where we live). Sounds great! Until the bottoms of the couches arrived at their store! They then called to inform us the pieces were there and if we wanted them to deliver we would have to pay $300. Not only did they change the price of delivery to $150 more, they also said they never deliver in our area so the entire conversation I had with the employee about the truck coming through once a month was a lie as well as the original $150 fee they offered when we purchased the furniture. I even spoke to the supervisor who informed me that the warranty and the conversation about the warranty/delivery were two separate issues somehow ???? They tell their customers one thing, then go back on their word, as well as putting the blame on the customer instead of trying to fix the issue. We now either have to pay $300 or spend more money in gas to deliver the DEFECTIVE pieces so we can get the new ones. They have no regard for customer service, very rude and their employees are misinformed about the fees they do or don't or won't charge. It's a different story depending on which one you speak to. They definitely do not care if their customer is happy nor are they willing to admit when they're at fault for anything said. On the upside, the original manufacturers of the couches (home elegance) did get the product to them in a timely manner. So thank you home elegance but no thank you furniture land. I will be happy when I have the new bottoms so I (hopefully) won't have to deal with them any longer.

Ordering furniture

WE ordered a bed it was suppose to be espresso When we got it is is way more brown then any espresso we have ever saw. We called told them not happy with color.Sorry you ordered it . Explained color not right . Explained it doesn't go with any thing in home.Sorry you ordered it. To us they really don't care if their customer is happy with their order. Not like they couldn't put that bed in their bed store.my husband said we will never order or buy from them again. They really don't care about the customer and if you are happy .
