The first week I moved to LA in the 90's, Ginger the owner of Planet Salon took one look at my ratty grown out permed hair and happily snipped away. The new look was gorgeous. I've never let anyone else touch my hair since. Ginger knows my style -- low maintenance. If I have to spend more than 10 minutes on my hair including drying, it's going in a pony tail. Each time I walk into Planet, am offered a drink, a head and neck massage, and she updates my look with a new low-maintenance style which is perfect for me. Planet is an education salon which means she personally trains all stylists for a couple years after beauty school before they are allowed on the floor. She is also a world-renowned Aveda educator and is the cutting master who teaches the top stylists around the world. Planet Salon flies under the radar and has a comfortable, cool, relaxing spa like feel. There is none of the typical Beverly Hills/LA salon snobbery here.

The best place in town-these people are artists and extremely consumer oriented!Sent several people here even my Boss and they are still coming. Always asked where I get my hair done. Both cut and color are fabulous. Place deserves ten stars.
