I don't want anyone else to make the same mistake I made moving here. The apartment looks nice from the outside, but once you move in..it's not so nice. Once I moved in, I noticed this apartment is infested with all types of spiders, big and small. All types of bugs, beetles, and I even witnessed a cockroach for the first time. I am absolutely disgusted, and I have been lied to by the leasing agent. Before I moved in to these apartments, I contacted the office and inquired about the apartments, I specifically asked if the apartments had any problems with bugs, they said no. Once I moved in, I realized I had been lied to. Now I am miserable in this apartment. I can't sleep at night because I have been woken up twice because of the bugs. The first bug I found in my bed was an earwig, the second bug was a large ant. I really do not enjoy living here, and I am ready to get out of here as soon as possible, and get a good nights sleep somewhere else.

My son and I lived there for 4...

My son and I lived there for 4 years always paying my rent on time. On each year I renewed my lease they kept increasing the rent my $25/month. And by the time we moved out they were charging us $715/month. I heard that after we moved out they were going to remodel the unit and would increase rent to $815/month.



The biggest thing that erked me was that 2 weeks after we moved out and I get a letter from Chateau Knoll telling us additional charges were incurred after move-out. Carpet replacement (they replace the carpet upon each tenant moving out), drop pan replacement (I personally went to Home Depot and bought new ones). So I incurred cost and they threaten that I have 30 days to pay these charges or the amount would be turned over to collection.



The maintenance guys are nice, but the Property Manager (Jessica Olson) can be a real b****. Look at other apartments that are cheaper. Chateau Knoll is trying to charge you as much as they just because it's in Bettendorf and there are luxury apartment going up nearby that are charging the same amount for rent.
