As a physician, I believe in treating each patient as an individual. Everyone is different and I try to tailor each treatment program to an individual's specific needs. I personally feel that it is important to listen more and to talk less to the patient in an attempt to get the full picture of their story. Although a surgeon, I practice conservative management initially for most problems and offer operative intervention only when needed. I am a board certified Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and have a wide experience in private practice and in an academic teaching institution. I am a general orthopedic surgeon with specific interests in fracture care and surgery, problems of the hand, as well as shoulder and knee surgery. I am passionate about teaching young physicians and medical students about orthopedics and recently received the Teacher of the Year Award from the graduating residents of Temple Medical School's Department of Orthopedic Surgery. Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my wonderful wife, traveling, reading techno- thrillers and spy novels, and singing (not well) whenever possible.
