Highly recommend. Repaired my riding mower in a timely manner and at a very fair price. Delivered to my home in the pouring rain on a Saturday. Good people.

We bought a lawn mower from jenkins at the beginning of summer. For what we paid for it, we thought it would last a good 5-6 years with regular maintenance. We recently have had to put the lawnmower in shop, because the brand new belt that we bought to replace the rotten one that was on the mower would not stay on, needless to say we have had to put new blades, and new pully, and complete new underside. So now for the money that we have to pay to have it fixed on top of what we paid for the mower, we should have bought a brand new one. Very dissatisfied with the product from Jenkins. Will know better next time. Only had mower for 7 months.

Rude, didn't bother to call when mower was repaired (the part it was taken in for). Upon calling them, found mower needed additional work at $35/hr w approx 10-12 more hrs of work. In short- would not recommend to my worst enemy! STILL do not have my mower back & they've had it 3 1/2 weeks to repair 1 axel rod!

I was in the process of closing out a project which required a pressure washer. I was scheduled onsite at 11:00. Upon departing I checked all my equipment operations. The pressure would not start. I spent 90 min. trying to get it to start. I called my client and advised, I had equipment problems. He was not happy. I did not have the funds to purchase a new one ,so I called the only person I knew without a doubt would help. When I arrived, Ralph was eating lunch. I explained the situation and he suggested either wait while they fix it or GO TO HIS HOUSE AND PICKUP HIS PERSONAL PRESSURE WASHER due the severity of the matter. I was able to get the pressure washer and arrive on site less than the time I wasted fooling around with. I consider the folks at Jenkins professional and trustful. NOW...don't expect to go to his home and retrieve anything.....but they will meet your expectations of professionalism and quality service.

Verbally threatened me, trashed our edger with no phone call to allow us to come get it if he wasn't going to fix it, had it torn apart being used for parts on other equipment. He is a nasty man and does not deserve to be in business given the things he has done to people. Awful. Would not advise anyone to go here.

Ralph is a good guy, though he may be hit or miss in the personality department. i have used him for years and continue to do so. i have only ever had one issue with a mower repair, but he has also on more than one occasion fixed small things for free for me, and no, i'm not a good ol' boy as someone else mentioned. you get what you pay for, and i keep dealing with Ralph because he has treated me right...

I called Ralph about a zero turn mower that I have. I asked him if he was interested in the mower for parts because I did not want to invest in a new mower deck. The mower is about seven years old so I did not want to sink to much money in it. I also told him I believed the PTO switch was bad because the mower would not attempt to start and it stopped working while engaged. Ralph told me he was not interested but he could actually repair the mower and install a new switch for about $125.00. For that expense I believed it was worth repair. I took the mower to Ralph for repair. After about three weeks I called to check how things were going. He told me the mower would be ready by the end of the week. I received a call on Thursday of that week from a lady at Jenkins repair. She told me it was ready and I asked her what form of payment to they except and what was the balance due. She told me $650 for the repairs. I was in shock. I asked her if she had the right ticket? She said yes and would have Ralph call me. They installed new blades, new spindle, and a full tune up with out even calling to get my approval. When I told Ralph that I did not ask for those items he said he figured I had to pay someone to do it so why not him. Then I told him I typically perform those items myself. He mocked my comment and said I wasn't doing a good job of it. They are extremely rude and have deceiving business practices. Stay as far away as possible.

I took my riding mower to Ralph (and his last name is not Jenkins...) because a very good friend recommended him. Rather than buy a nee deck, he rebuilt and reinforced the old one. Yes, the bill was much higher than the original, ball park, quote however, he did nothing that was not needed. What good would it do if he just fixed the obvious...and left the other needed repairs undone??? I would have had to bring it back, which would not have happened and I would not be giving them 5 stars! I am particular as to who does work for me whether it is my auto mechanic or contractor on house repairs. I do not use the yellow pages to find repair or service people, everyone I use has been recommended by trusted friends and all of them are small business people. The very people who cannot afford to make it a habit of messing with people and expect to stay in business! He has been doing this for 30+ years. I eould recommend them, this was my first experience with Ralph and I will continue to bring my mower to him.

I dropped my Ryobi power blower off for repair. The bulb was no longer sending gas to the carb. I figured a ruptured gasket. I am no stranger to 2 and 4 cycle engines. I handed the blower over the counter and he handed me a claim receipt. When asked the approximate repair fee, he told me $45 plus parts. I figured the gasket set to be less than $20 and with an experienced mechanic, about 30 minutes to tear it down clean it and re-gasket. So there would be a fair profit margin if the mechanic was efficient. I asked about how long before I hear from them. He said give us a week.

I got the call four days later that the repairs were complete. The bill was $62.00 (about what I expected). I got the blower home this morning, pumped the bulb three times, pulled the cord and the thing responded like I never seen even when it was new! I completed the front and back yard, shut it down and starting it up repeatedly.

To sum it up, I couldn't be happier with Ralph the owner and his service technician. I had read the poor reviews and was a bit worried at first, but those worries proved to be unfounded.

I will take all of my equipment there in the future and recommend them to my friends.

I am a business owner who provides a service and I know that you cannot please all of the people all of the time. If all of the satisfied customers had taken the time to post a review, the negative ones would probably have been hard to catch.

Nothing but horrible service and lies from this place. I had rebuilt my weed trimmer last year and was having a hard time getting it started but once it got started it worked fine. I saw Jenkins on my way to work everyday and decided to take it to them to get an estimate on what it will cost to get it working again. Ralph Jenkins the owner told me it would take a week before he get back with me. Two weeks later and still no call so dropped by on my way to work to see what the hold up was. Mr. Jenkins told me that he had just looked at it that same day and had try rebuilding the carb multiple times but could not get it working due to rust in the carburetor. I found that fishy because I had just taken the carb apart to rebuild it months prior and did not see any rust. I also found it odd that even if the carb was rusted like he said why did he chose to rebuild a rusted carburetor instead of replacing it. My instinct told me to walk away then then but I didn’t. I then reconfirmed with him that I needed a quote first before approving on any repairs. He promise that he would call me that evening with a quote. Well days went by and still no call, by the end of the week one of his mechanics called me and told me that my item was fixed and that I owed them $160. I was astounded that my item was repaired without my consent. I just hung up the phone and didn’t even bother picking up my item since I paid less then what their fees would have cost me. After doing some research online I found out how horrible this shop was rated online and how they had used the same tatics on other customers. If you are in need of service I would stay away clear from this shop; do your research and take your equipment to a reputable shop.

I have not had one issue with ...

I have not had one issue with this shop what so ever. So I don't understand all the bad reviews. I had to write one of my own. I laugh because the owner's name is not Jenkins that is how much these people know. These guys know what they are doing and if they are 8 dollars over than what they say then I'll pay that! I would rather go to a shop that knows what they are doing and makes sure my equipment is running right than go somewhere else and have them fix it at a lesser price and fix it half way. Estimates are just that ESTIMATES!

1 star because these guys know...

1 star because these guys know what they are doing. Only one star because these guys have terrible customer service and lie through their teeth.

Brought my lawnmower in for service and told to them to look at it and give me an estimate before doing anything. Initially the guy said he would call me later in the day or tomorrow. Next day (after 3PM) I called to see if he has had time to look at it. He says no and that he can't get anything done if everyone keeps calling him. "People don't trust that I will call them back." Now I realize why. Today (one week later) I had my cousin take the ticket to pick up the lawn mower no matter if it was fixed or not ... was told the total would be $294 and change. I talk to him and he said he called but the call did not go through. He read the number it was mine and I did not have a miss call or a voice mail --- this is a cell phone (I was speaking to him from this same number). He says he had it all written down and fixed exactly what was written down. I told him that we discuss changing the blades but if there is anything else he should call me before he does anything. Basically these guys will get you for every little penny they can. Don't ask for a diagnostics unless they do it right then and there and give you an upfront price. Otherwise be prepared to pay much much more.

I just had a similar experience as the review before me. I dropped off my mower to “look over” on a Saturday, Ralph Jenkins states that the mechanic is at lunch and they will give me a call later in the day. That afternoon, I had not received a call so I decided to stop by on my way home from Athens. Raph looked puzzled at my attendance an said that they had not had a chance to look it over, but they had “smoked it over” (whatever that means). He then said that it would be a day or two and they would call me. Wednesday comes and I still have not gotten a call. So I called at about 11:00am. An employee answers the phone and tells me that they have a fix for it and it will be ready at the end of the week (keep in mind that they have not contacted me on what was wrong with it, or what it would cost to fix it). I tell the employee not to do anything to it until I get an estimate for repair. He says OK and hangs up the phone. I then decide to ride over to the business to talk to Ralph and get a better understanding of ... as the review before me. I then decide to ride over to the business to talk to Ralph and get a better understanding of what is going on with my mower and express my concern of them fixing it without approval from me. When I first talked to Ralph, he went into a long story about how I was in a long line of repairs and I shouldn’t be expecting my mower to be fixed right away. This is NOT what I was expecting. I told him that I didn’t care how long it took to get fixed, I wanted someone to call me to tell me what was wrong with it FIRST. He said that we had misunderstood each other. I asked him if he thought when I said “look it over” that it meant for him to “fix it” he stated “honestly, yes.” If you should not do business with this person for one reason, it should be because of my previous statement. Then things turned ugly. We argued back and forth, and I admittedly threw out some cuss words. This caused my bill for diagnosis to go from $0 to $50. FINE, whatever. When I was walking out to go and get cash at an ATM (because he doesn’t take anything but cash or check), he still wanted to argue with me. So I kept arguing with him. The he said my bill would now be $75 because “I still have your mower and I can do whatever I want.” Like he had some all powerful authority (we are talking about lawn mowers here). I told him that I would pay the $50 and nothing more. I then left and called Barrow County Sheriffs on my way to the ATM. I just wanted them there to supervise the exchange. Things were quiet and went smooth after that.
