AKA (Budget Moving and Storage llc) I was given a quote for the moving company to receive two pallets of household items shipped from out of state and delivered to my building. I described the dimensions and the contents of the pallets (boxes and two pieces of furniture). I was given a quote for $356. I forwarded the bill of lading and told them the expected delivery date was the following Wednesday and asked if they had an opening that weekend to deliver b/c I needed to reserve the loading elevator in my building in advance. I was told to wait until they received the shipment. The trucking company called the day of the scheduled delivery, and the moving company scheduled for delivery the next day (Thursday). The moving company told me they had availability that weekend, but by that time my building did not have openings for the loading elevator so we had to schedule for the following weekend (Saturday). On Friday I emailed them to confirm the delivery time and did not receive a response. I called them at the end of the day and was told (for the first time) that there are more items than they expected and they would have to charge me more ($880!!). They told me there was three pallets instead of two, which was a complete lie. The person helping me arrange the shipment at the origin confirmed and measured two pallets. The trucking company certified that they picked up two pallets. I was only charged to ship two pallets. The moving company then said there was much more than described. In total, I had 11 boxes and two dressers (one had a hutch). He said that these items required three instead of two people and also required an additional hour. The original quote charged $89/hour for a truck and two people. The new quote charged $139/hour for a truck and three people. I asked him why an additional man costs $50/hr when a single mover (including truck charges) costs $44.50/hr. No response. Maybe this extra man is an extraordinarily good mover? He also told me that they also needed to charge me $75 for packing supplies for tape and blankets because there is furniture and some of the original tape on the boxes became undone. The packing supplies were not included on the original estimate. I asked why he couldn't foresee the need of packing supplies in the original estimate because he was told there was furniture in the shipment and how much tape could he possibly need? He gave some BS answer. He also said that he was helping me out b/c he was not charging me for storing the items for an extended period due to the unusual scheduling for the loading elevators at my building. I reminded him that he caused the delivery delay because I told him in advance that I needed to reserve the elevators in advance and that he asked me to hold off until they received the delivery. His response was that the estimated delivery date was way off and they had to wait three days to receive the items. I reminded him again that he received a call to deliver the items on the estimated delivery date and they received the items the next day. At this point, I told them to go ahead and delivery because its the day before the scheduled delivery and I needed the items and if i didn't had them deliver the next day, i would have to wait at least another week to reserve the loading elevator. Also, they already charged me to receive, remove the items from the pallets, and load the items on their truck. They had me in a bind and they knew it so they decided to gouge me for more money. When they delivered the items it took them a total of 30 minutes!!!! to unload and load with three people. I don't understand why they needed an extra man an an extra hour of labor plus $75 in packing supplies to delivery two pieces of furniture and 11 boxes. I had called around before choosing this company and this company was hundreds of dollars cheaper. So basically, they lure you in with a low ball quote and then add a tone of charges. Be Careful with this company!!!

I hate moving, but Bethesda Econo Van Lines LLC made it an easy experience. I did 99% of packing on my own; however, they will help you pack if you need it. The unpacking was super quick too and at no point did it look like they were rough with my boxes. I highly recommend Bethesda Econo Van Lines LLC. They are on-time, honest, efficient and don`t pull any hidden tricks.

Bethesda Econo Van Lines LLC were professional, on time, and upfront about how much the hourly rate would be. They were fast, efficient... didn`t break anything and prorated the hour... They ended up cheaper than the "cheap" movers... They called me back to find out how my move went. Great customer service. I`d definitely use them again

The moving crew was very intelligent and energetic. They took excellent care - furniture with wood was wrapped in a blanket and well cared, all upholstered furniture was shrink-wrapped. Everything was very professional. Unbelievable.

I would like to recognize the two gentlemen who delivered my things. They were the most professional and polite movers that I have ever encountered.

They were amazingly fast! They were very talented when it came to getting large items out of doors and around corners. They also had to manually hoist my mattress, wooden desk, and wooden file cabinet up to the second floor. The only stairs up to the second floor were spiral which made it impossible to use for these large items. They securely wrapped all of my furniture before it left the apartment. 2 of the guys also helped me put together some Metro shelving because the TV had to be placed on it. They were very professional and extremely efficient.

They took care of everything and everything arrived at my new home without a scratch. I would recommend Bethesda Econo Van Lines LLC to my friends when they are contemplating a move.

Very impressed with the care of items that were moved. they worked together very well. It was extremely hot &humid on Sat., but they stayed positive & pleasant. I would definitely recommend your company.
