Six weeks ago, I submitted an online request for help to move. I got an email that said, "We'll call you." No one ever did. I tried again two weeks before the move. Again, "We will call you." I missed the call and called them. Bonnie answered and was abrupt and uncooperative. Then the sales person finally called to say that no one was available on the day I needed help. "So, six weeks in advance is not enough notice?" The sales person said it was not.

If you're looking for folks to be rude, disrespectful, uncooperative and uncommunicative, you came to the right place.

Very good experience. We moved with you almost 3 years ago and it was a positive experience.

We moved PA to CA with SHM about 1.5 years ago and they were absolutely wonderful start to finish - easy to reach and very responsive with questions, well priced and transparent and their drivers/ loaders team were excellent and worked around us as we tried to work from home for the days when they were packing.

Painless experience

Under the leadership of Shane- our move couldn't have been more seamless. Shane, Stan, and Luke were consummate professionals and took extreme care in moving our personal belongings. They absolutely went the extra mile in ensuring that we were comfortable, and that everything was going in the right place at our new home. We have a 5 month old baby, and they relieved a lot of our stress by packing his crib last, and setting it up first at the new house- without us even having to ask. They were always one step ahead of us! In the future, the only moving company I will work with is South Hills Movers- and I will always request Shane and his team by name, to help us out! In addition I wanted to ensure that I mentioned Jan Henderson, who did an AMAZING job checking in on us and helping coordinate all the specifics of the move as our relocation coordinator.

One Star is kind considering the service I received, or should I say didn't receive. I made an online inquiry for a local move on a Thursday, and received a call back on Monday. At this time I told them that I needed there service in 3 weeks (gave them the exact date), and other details. They set up an appointment for an estimator to come on Friday @ 1230p. Come Friday @ Noon I get a call saying "sorry, we are all booked up on that date, so do you still want me to come for the estimate". I asked why on earth would you call me 30 minutes before appointment & not inform me of booking issues when I made the appointment. The answers I received was "we are sorry, but that is how we operate".



To make a long story they mislead me into thinking that they were going to be my mover, held me hostage for the entire week, and cancelled on me 30 minutes prior to my appointment.



Moving furniture isn't rocket science, so I would strongly recommend other vendors who appreciate the value of customer service, and honoring commitments.

I had a great experience with South Hills movers. From the office personnel who worked with me on the estimated costs, through the scheduler, and finally with Cody, the packer/driver and his teammate, Justin who packed everything with extreme care and were the same guys to deliver and set up my beds and other furniture. I could not be more pleased. This was not my first move, so I know how things can go wrong. I would use them again in a heartbeat. Great, great people working for a great company!

We used them to move within Pittsburgh. These guys are efficient. They were on-time in arrival, moved our stuff quickly out of the apartment and were very careful moving stuff in. They said 3-4 hrs for the entire move and we did it in about 4 hrs. Price wise, I would say they are reasonable. I will use them for our next move too.

I have found out that they have drug users and dealers and theives working for them. These people come into our homes with criminal records.. How is this allowed. I will never hire them or refer them to anyone... And as for the penguins I know several people who are in that organization. I will be letting them know about south hills movers and what I found out.. Its ashame people are that desperate to hire criminals!!!
