Dr. Lonny Harrison received his undergraduate degree from The Ohio State University in Biology and was awarded the degree of Doctor of Optometry from The Ohio State University College of Optometry. After graduation, Dr. Harrison served two years in the U.S. Army, and then began practicing in Bethel Park on Logan Rd with his late father, Dr. William L. Harrison. In 1984, the practice was moved to Fort Couch Rd and in 1997 moved to the current facility on McMurray Rd. Active in his profession, Dr. Harrison is a member of the American Optometric Association, and the Pennsylvania Optometric Association. He is also a member of the Western Pennsylvania Optometric Society and served as Trustee of Education from 1995-2000. He was honored as the Society's ""Optometrist of the Year"" in 2000. Dr. Harrison regularly attends national and regional education meetings and has received the AOA Optometric Recognition Award for Continuing Education from 1997-2010. In his spare time, Dr. Harrison is a U.S. Masters Swimmer and competes nationally in his age group.
