I called this law firm with a couple of business questions regarding a contract I received from the city expecting to be told to come in so they can help me, or better yet charge me like lawyers ALWAYS do. I should know because I called several other local law firms in the area trying to get my simple questions answered. To my surprise I was asked a few questions by the receptionist and was transferred to attorney Walker. Ms. Walker was very attentive with my questions and even offered to review the document I had the question about for FREE, yes I said FREE, lawyers and free usually don't go hand in hand. And to my surprise Ms. Walker never pressured me to come into her office. I'm a contractor with a small business and in my 20 plus years I've never had a lawyer offer to review a file of document for free, I was very impressed with that fact. I asked her why she wasn't going to charge me she said the firm does not do that and has a strong policy against it. Again I was shocked! The end results was Ms. Walker answered all my questions over the phone (30-45 min call) and told me if I needed any additional help I was free to call her or she'd come to my office for no additional charge. I plan on going back to her next year for more contract stuff I have and a few RFP's I'm working on now. Just thought I'd share this with folks since lawyers seem to never get a good wrap, but this one deserves a compliment. Good job and good firm policy, maybe other lawyers should follow your lead.
