We've been using Klaver Landscaping for snow removal at our vacation home since Dec. 2010. We've always trusted them and never felt a need to check to see whether they actually did the work when they said they did. This past holiday season, however, they sent us an invoice for snow removal on 12/24/2012, a date we happened to be at the home with our large extended family, and we knew for a fact that they did not plow that day because there were 3 SUVs parked in the driveway and it would have been impossible to do any snow removal. However, Klaver sent us an invoice for plowing anyway. We all remember it clearly because the snow was really piled up and we were hoping they would come and plow that day. When we called to inform Klaver that they must have had their dates mixed up on the invoice, the owner Robert called my husband and fired us as customers! It makes me wonder how many times they invoiced us for plowing when they did not actually perform.
