Operational since 1993, KIDS Center offers child abuse evaluation and treatment services and serves more than 600 children annually. It also offers medical examinations, forensic interviews, and education and consultating services, as well as on-site therapies. The center organizes the Blue Ribbon Campaign and Darkness to Light-sponsored child sexual abuse prevention training program. Its Dress Up and Dance program includes dance performance and instruction. The center s Dinners for Winners campaign supports the prevention and treatment of child abuse. KIDS Center partners with Deschutes County Mental Health to provide therapists. It maintains a staff of physicians, nurses, assistants and medical examiners. The center is located in Bend, Ore.
