McCauley Asphalt Contracting has NOT done work in a timely manner. We hired them in June 2019 to blacktop our driveway, extend a parking pad, add a new parking pad, and lower the slope at the end of our driveway. Despite repeated calls from us and broken promises from them, they finally arrived in Oct 2019. BUT, they left the final coating of blacktop until “next spring,” of 2020. We accepted their delay because of COVID, and were told they’d be here mid-July. Now, late July 2019, they’ve said it’ll be mid-August. We have already paid over $4800 for an a job that should have been completed in 2019.

I agreed to asphalt contract work on 8/11/2013 and paid a deposit. By 9/27/2014, the work had not been performed. I requested return of the deposit by phone, email (9/27/2014) and by registered letter (11/3/2014). He promised to return the deposit on two occasions, but he did not. I initiated legal action. On 12/4/14, an agent for the company returned my deposit and paid me my legal fees. I have no further issues with the business. Still, I cannot recommend this business.
