very true.....there is a bearded little prick named "Bartel" who is a teller, whom has the attitude and pompousness of Rocafeller himself.

I would give zero stars if I could. Santander (aka Sovereign Bank Santander) is an unethical, unscrupulous bank with no regard for customer service or for doing the right thing.



In June 2013, Santander sent me a collections letter stating that my account was overdrawn. This was a shock to me, as I had closed both my business and my personal checking accounts at the Belmar branch in April 2013.



Turns out a branch employee did not follow the right process and left my accounts open! Stupid Sovereign Bank Santander paid a TWO-YEAR-OLD check presented two months after my account was supposed to be closed.



Bank officials admitted to the mistake, but Santander is coming after me for the money. They have attacked my credit unjustly because I won't pay up. The overdraft in June never would have happened if the branch closed my account in April as I requested.



It was their branch's mistake, not mine, for leaving my accounts open -- and Santander stubbornly refuses to accept responsibility for its mistake. And now they have made a false report to the credit bureaus saying my account is in default.



Put your money somewhere else!! Do not use this bank. They have no business ethics! I was a 10-year customer of Sovereign Bank, and their appalling conduct in this matter totally justified my decision to use another bank.
