e needed a new roof on a part of our home that is flat. We interviewed 4 contractors for a new rubber roof that they recommend. We decided to go with Jancewicz & Son. We asked all the necessary questions we never had a rubber roof before and was concern about any damage to our home that the roof could cause since we told the snow really comes down with it similar to a metal roof. The owners son assured us many times no damage to our home would occur even though our bulkhead is right under the rubber roof. So, we went with them the most expensive proposal we received thinking if we paid the most the service and work would be excellent. Sad to say we lost our bulkhead because the snow came down so hard that it slammed on our metal bulkhead and busted it. We also lost 9 long pieces of our vinyl siding because of the roof and shingles off our roof. I was home when the snow came down and was shocked the force it came down with. I thought we lost our whole back of our home. We called the owner up he covered the $275 for us to hire a contractor to build a protective shield over our bulkhead to protect it. And advised me to just simply contact my insurance company for the rest. No thanks I am honest person and I will cover the rest out of my pocket even though I dont think I should have to pay for it. My insurance company should not have to pay for damage this roof has caused me. I told him that his son lied to me about the snow coming down and damaging our home. He said he did not lie. So, I am confused if someone tells you something wont happen but it does what would you call it??? Guess VT people are different than NH. I told him we were concerned about it happening again he was so rude to me he said to me exactly this I will come over and fix your roof really good so good snow will never come off of it again. The owner really has an anger issue and I pray he seeks help for it. I cant believe this is how they treat customers. I tell everyone I know even strangers if they mention any home remolding they are doing I tell they stay away from this company. He told me that there is nothing wrong with his workmanship. Right I forgot that this company cant make mistakes. I am sorry I guess I do so I figure everyone does. So, If I had to do it all over again no I would not purchase this roof through this company and would I purchase a rubber roof probably not. So, now I am stuck with a rubber roof that causes me alot of damage to my home with a contractor that will not help me out at all trying to find a solution to stop the damage. So sad how I believed his son. People please dont make the same mistake I did stay away from Janewicz & Son.
