Provided by YP.comThe biggest problem here, is trying to get in the place. Reservations are only honored for parties of six, or more. All the food is first rate, from great appetizers to the final sweet. I usually start with a shrimp cocktail, and never fail to be amaized at the real taste of shrimp. Yes, other places may serve bigger specimens, but all are short on flavor. Request an extra bit of horseradish if you like it spicy, as I do. The soup specials should not be missed. Be it lobster bisque, or a flavorful creamed wild mushroom, the flavor is truly that of its title. I believe I have at one time or another, ordered the entire entree menu without not being pleased with the choice selected. I tend to stay away from the list of "specials" recited in most restaurants, as I find the only thing "special" is the huge price. At Sage, I find this not to be the case, and the "specials" are what they are suppose to be, something that caught the Chef's eye at the market that day, and is expertly prepared to his kitchen skills, which are plentiful. The wine list is impressive, and fairly priced. Cocktails are generous, and delicious. I like to conclude a great dinner with a bit of cheese, or fruit, but my wife is addicted to the chocolate side of the desert menu. Value to price is reached at the Sage Bistro much more often than not, in this age of high ticket meals. The place is also elegant ,without being Kitsy. Service is professional without being fawning. Give it a try.
