The Bedford Police Department provides community policing services to the town of Bedford. It has more than 25 sworn officers, over 10 communications officers, a school crossing officer and nearly 20 traffic officers on its staff. The department offers law enforcement services and a variety of traffic safety and crime prevention programs. Its traffic division handles cases of aggressive and drunk driving.
