Portland Community College, also known as PCC, is one of the largest educational institutions that provides a range of learning opportunities in northwestern Oregon. It offers community and continuing education and international programs for more than 86,160 students. The college provides instruction in accounting, anthropology, business administration, chemistry, emergency management, geology and international business. Portland Community College also operates international student, beach and ski clubs, as well as conducts basketball tournaments. The college is accredited by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities. Portland Community College additionally maintains a student council. It organizes theater arts classes and operates the Hillsboro Education Center. The college maintains a staff of over 2,000 employees.
