Beaumont Travel Consultants, Inc. opened for business at the corner of Dowlen and Phelan, Beaumont, Texas in January 1981. We grew to be the largest agency in Beaumont until GSU merged with Entergy when about 25% of our business relocate to New Orleans.  As more local companies consolidated their travel booking at corporate headquarters we changed our business to strictly leisure travel.   As the cruise lines began to unbundle they product to reduce commission to travel agencies, we looked for a organisation to join to assist us in finding better business relations with the cruise lines and travel vendors.  We finally settled on Results! Travel.  Results is now part of Travel Leaders Group which is one of the nations largest travel agencies.  This provides us with preferred vendors that have been checked out by TLG as to performance, standards of service and financial status.  This assists  us in offering vendors with  good performance record to our clients.  In 2011 we made the decision to close the agency at Dowlen and Phelan and for the two owners to begin working from home.  This gives us the ability to offer the same vendors to our clients and for our clients to come in and visit with us if desired.
