Took a coin I got from my father into these guys because they advertise they buy coins. They told me right away it was fake and wanted to drill a hole in it. Got offered $15 for it cause it was silver. Took it to another local business (Coastal Collectibles) and talked to Brian, who has dealt professionally with coins for years. He verified it was real right away and paid me $400 for it. Jeweler's bench guys are a bunch of crooks. I should have read the other review here first before even going in there. Never will go here again and they should be run outta town for all the bad things they do and have done. Total crooks, Ill stick going to the other place from now on.

My sheer disgust for Mr. and M...

My sheer disgust for Mr. and Mrs. David Patrick Kinard, the owners of Jeweler's Bench, is beyond any reasonable reproach. To call these two people moral derelicts, would actually feel like giving a compliment to one. About five weeks ago, September 7, 2012, I became a victim of a home burglary. All of my valuables, including my jewelry with an extreme sentimental value was stolen. As it turns out to be, my home was one of many that got robbed in my neighborhood by the same criminals who, as the result of cooperation with law enforcement, provided the detailed information and the dollar amount that the Kinards paid for each stolen batch of valuable jewelry, respectively. As the authorities were closing in on before mentioned criminals, the Kinards got a fair warning to adhere to the state mandated laws and requirements in order to follow the proper protocol as far as keeping the transaction records and hold on any valuables purchased from private entities just in case if it becomes reported stolen. Kinards did completely the opposite, they would fail to properly document the purchases, most likely melt the jewelry and reset the stones so the righteous owner could not identify it. As of right now, David Patrick Kinard is being charged and fined with five counts of violating the ordinance number 0720178004 - Precious metals, Report to police, positive identification of sellers, photographs of purchases, retention of records. In fact, if you do a simple search in Beaufort County Fourteen Judicial Circuit Public Index web page, the cases against Mr. Kinard would come up under the #7428, #7429, #7430, #7431, #7432. If you visit that particular web site, you will also find that Mr. and Mrs. David Patrick Kinard have an extensive history of multiple criminal and civil cases where they were found guilty and punished accordingly. If you are an honest, hard-working and law-abiding individual such as myself, I would like for you to take this information into consideration before patronizing these, in my humble opinion, loathsome and abhorrent individuals. Thank you!
