Signorelli Vocal Studio was founded in the 1950's by Maestro Michael Signorelli. Maestro Signorelli sang in the golden age of opera as a leading tenor with major opera companies such as the Chicago Lyric Opera Co, and the San Carlo Opera. He performed with the leading operatic luminaries of the time including Ezio Pinza, Lily Pons, Licia Albanese, John Charles Thomas, Gladys Swarthout, Lawrence Tibbet and others. He was soloist for 10 years at St Patricks Cathedral in NYC. He studied with the great teachers of Bel Canto, including Forrest Lamont, contemporary of Caruso, Mastinelli, a student of Lamperti, Mario Rubini and Issac Van Grove. In the 1970's, he founded the Long Island Lyric Opera Co. which was the first major opera company on Long Island. His teaching career spanned nearly 50 years, producing successful students in all theatrical venues.
