Founded in 1946, the Louisiana School Employees' Retirement System is a state department that operates under the government of the city of Baton Rouge, La. The department offers benefit calculation, retirement planning, asset allocation and legislative issue handling services. The Louisiana School Employees' Retirement System s operations are financed through member and employer contributions as well as investment earnings on such contributions.
