AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL! I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO MY WORST ENEMY! We were flooded out and had very little. A two bedroom house. One king sized bed, two cribs, we don't even own a COUCH! They loaded the truck so poorly they couldn't "fit" everything. THEN what they DID fit, they damaged or flat out broke. They also took it upon themselves to go walk to Jack in the Box ON OUR TIME SINCE THESE PEOPLE GET PAID HOURLY, AND GRAB A BURGER!! Are you KIDDING me??? Then they had the supreme audacity to ask their TIP to be paid in cash. If I had been there instead of my husband, they would have regretted asking for a tip at all! I will be contacting the Federal Trade Commission on this bunch, you better believe it. We basically paid to have them NOT move and BREAK what little we had left.

These people go by multiple names. Starving Student Movers, College Student Movers, Baton Rouge College Student Movers, Lafayette Student Movers etc WHY DO YOU THINK THEY KEEP CHANGING NAMES???? It because they are horrible people and will cheat you. They quoted me a great price but like the other reviewer, they increased my cost after my contents were on the truck. Actually doubled it. The driver said if I paid him cash he would not call the owner who would double the cost. I was furious so of course I called the owner who then doubled it. JUST A BUNCH OF CROOKS. Oh and did I mention they damaged my property? I wish I had used the real Student Movers, Inc. a father and son company based out of Baton Rouge. My bad.

HORRIBLE!!! RUN AWAY FAST. These people pretend to be from Baton Rouge but are the crooks from Mandeville. They also say they are from Lafayette, New Oreans, Hammond etc. They have telephone numbers from each location. They loaded my furniture then doubled the price. When I complained they increased it again. They damaged my floors. They broke my antique bed. They slammed something against the wall and put a hole in it. Then they ridiculed me and said I was over reacting. Oh yea... did I say they try to make people think they are someone else. They keep changing their name because their reputation is so horrible. BUYER BEWARE, They call themselves Starving Students, Starving College Students, Baton Rouge College Students etc. THEY ARE NOT THE REAL STUDENT MOVERS, INC. who really is a good company.
