These people charged me more ($340) for a wrist brace that I A. can’t use at work which is when I need it and B. Don’t need because it doesn’t even immobilize the right part of my hand than for the visit ($180) or the X-rays ($80) that didn’t tell me anything without even mentioning the price or that my insurance probably wouldn’t cover it. To make matters even worse I now can’t find a phone number for their billing department which is who I was told I had to talk to to try to get my money back.

I visited this clinic on 11/8/12.

I was very sick with what i thought was the flu. They did a nasel swob and it came back positive with the flu. The doctor said he was going to give me a shot and some medicine. The nurse came in to give me the shot, but unfortunately it did not go well. She gave no advance warning and jabbed/stuck me very hard and quick with the needle, causing me to jump off the floor and causing the needle to pop out. She then immediately jabbed/stuck me again hard. It was very unpleasant and painful and there was blood everywhere. She did not seem to care at all!!! She would not even look at me, as if she was disgusted at the mere sight of me!!! I had to clean the blood of my rear end and put a couple of band aids on where she jabbed/stuck me twice. To top off this unpleasant visit off the doctor didn't even prescibe tami flu. I had to go to my EMT doctor to get that presciption.

I will not ever return to this clinic!!!

I have seen Dr. Brandt at the Lake After Hours on Oneal. He is an amazing doctor- very helpful and friendly! He treated me for a sinus infection and gave me a shot and an antibiotic that cleared me up in 2 days! I would recommend him to anyone!

I went to this location on Sunday, 11/27, because I have upper respiratory funk. The doctor, Dr. Gary Brandt, was the treating physician. I looked horrible and sounded horrible because I was very, very sick - I was too sick to put makeup on and had just pinned my hair up. I had a very sore throat and could barely speak. The doctor came in and stood about 2 feet from me and looked into my mouth. He came about 1.5 feet from me and looked in my ears and nose. Now, if I were in his position, I certainly would not have wanted to come close to me either, as stated above, I could barely speak because I was so sick and when I come across sick people anywhere I try to go the other way. However, that is the profession that he has chosen....to deal w/sick folks and probably give them a proper visit when they come to his clinic and pay for those services. He gave me a prescription for a bacterial infection that cost me $95.00. After getting home and reading about the medicine I was totally confused as to why he would give me that for a viral sinus infection - I've had sinus infections before and have always been given a $20.00 prescription of Antibiotic or so. I called back to Lake after Hours to question about the medicine - after having filled the prescription - and was advised by a nurse that "he knows what he's doing". I don't feel much better today and hope to feel better soon; however, my main complaint with this facility was the doctor's coldness and treatment. There are lots of Urgent Care places around Baton Rouge and next time I will most assuredly not use Lake After Hours and/or this particular location. And, I submit to the Lake After Hours administration that, they should speak to this doctor about his demeanor - if he is scared of ill patients when they come there for treatment, he should wear a mask or maybe take a different position with their company where he is not directly dealing with sick patients.
