This office staff is as unprofessional and incompetent as they come. Although they advertise on their website that they accept LaChip Affordable—and we called them to confirm this before deciding to go with them—one day before our child’s wellness check-up for vaccinations, they called to tell us that they don’t accept Medicaid. We spent the next two days on the phone with Amy G., Lindsey, and Dawn getting the run around, expecting us to do their jobs for them because they were unwilling to help a “Medicaid” kid. We then informed them that several of the insurance providers they claim to accept have no record of any current contracts with this practice. At each appointment, we spent 30 minutes or more waiting past our scheduled appointment time.



Sadly, they just do not care about their patients and want nothing to do with any children they think are low-income. They're terrible at their jobs and no one in the office, not even the office manager, knows anything.



We tried to speak with Dr. Rodger Elofson about the issue but, alas, he was on a cruise and has never once returned our calls.

All of the doctors are good but Dr. Elofson is awesome! He has been my kids' doctor for over 15 years and they love him. My daughter is in college, but can't bring herself to find an "adult" doctor. At first glance, it can seem like he is in a rush, but that is just because he talks fast. In reality, he is willing to spend as much time with you as necessary. Best of all, he treats me like I have a brain. He exams the child, shares information and together we make a decision on how to proceed. Dr. Elofson ROCKS!

Associates in Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine has been taking care of my children for 12 years and I have been completely satisfied. I have sent plenty of friends there and they stay because they see the difference. Dr. Perilloux is who I see the most because he gives me all the time I need, writes all our instructions down and repeatedly asks if "I" have any questions.

The other Drs (Fakouri, Cook and Elofson) are also very good and personable. Dr Cook is new and energetic.

The office staff is very helpful, especially Dr. Perilloux's medical assistant, Lesley and his nurse, Melissa.

I would recommend this office to EVERYONE !!!

Dr. Elofson has been my children's doctor from the beginning. He has become part of the family. I would not, could not recommend another practice!

This an office of great pediatricians!! We mainly see Dr Elofson (who is great - we LOVE Dr BUCKY). But all of the doctors are wonderful. I love the fact that I can get an appointment on the same day that I call no matter what it is for. And MOST of the time I can get whatever time I need to be seen!!!

Finding a doctor for my child scared me to death. After searching all of Baton Rouge, a friend recommed Associates in Pediatric Medicine. All of the doctors there are amazing, but one in particular shines. From our first visit Dr. Elofson made all my fears go away. Not only did he take the time to listen to all my concerns, he actually talked and listened to my son. Priceless.

This clinic has to be one of the best Doctors offices in Baton Rouge, Dr. Elofson is so kind he just becomes a part of your family instantly. For my family he came in at a very difficult time, I went into premature labor with my second child; while he was already my oldest childs pediatrician he realy helped us threw a tough time. He came to see me in the hospital when I called them to tell them that I had gone into labor and did not now what would happen to my baby. He came to the hospital and expalined to my husband and me what would happen once the baby came. He prayed with us and said that if there were anything we needed to just call. He checked on my son all the months he was in the nicu and on me!

As a mom you never forget that it means so much when someone cares that much.

This is one of the last remaining pediatric practices that put the patient first, not the money. I am always able to get an appointment on the same day no matter what it is for. Dr Elofson is the BEST pediatrician ever, he cares about his patients.

I disagree with the post about Dr. Elofson, he and Dr. Dana Fakouri are the only ones that I let my children see.Dr. Fakouri can relate because she has small children and always shows concern and is honest. I trust her completely with my babies. Dr. Elofson has helped us a few times when Fakouri was on call. Eventhough he is not their primary doctor, he is friendly and very pleasant. The other's are not friendlyat all. One (the oldest doctor, either Jeansonne or Perileux) kept calling my son "she" after I told him several times that he was a boy and would not listen to what we were trying to tell him.He never looked at us and I felt rushed and as if my children were an inconvenience by the both of them. The otehr staff is friendly and loves children, just wish they had a better answering system and themessage line worked.

All of the physicians are excellent except for one--Rodger Elofson. DO NOT GO TO HIM!!! I would've rated this business 5 stars, but Elofson lowers the rating.

My mom used him for me when I was young, and now my children see him ! Awesome!

Very helpful. Very nice staff. All the doctors here are awesome !!! The BEST practice in Baton Rouge !
