BEWARE of CVE Homes and Impact Real Estate! I know firsthand why they're in business together. 0-Customer Service, 0-Communication, 0-Quality, 0-Workmanship, 0-Accountability, 0-Professionalism! DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH EITHER!

We had an excellent experience working with CVE homes in Owosso! Scott and his contract team were super professional and built a quality custom home. Karen in selections did a great job making a couple last minute selections for us. We thoroughly enjoyed our process and would refer our friends/family to CVE. Special thanks to John as well for helping walk us through the process. Thank you for building our home and supporting Owosso!

Not satisfied with most phases of the build project. First have your own agent!!!. Impact Realtors work with CVE and Dart Bank and if you have a problem they no longer represent you and side with their partners. Neil one of the owners " I wish we didn't offer anything custom" that about says it all. They over charge for basic upgrades and wont allow you to do any of the work yourself. Scott the other owner is just lip services "I'll look into this problem and call you tomorrow" apparently "tomorrow means never.
If you decide to use CVE, read and re-read the contract - they love to charge you a daily $100 penalty fee after 7 days from final inspection and yet not tell you when the inspection even took place. Warranty repairs get done but expect lengthy delays and multiple phone calls. Several subs complain about the owner Neil " The cookie cutter" because of cost cutting and sub par work. Good luck and do your due-diligence.

Not the greatest contractor or company in the area, but convenience and location of subdivision they build in sold me. You have to keep an eye on them once hired because they never do what they say they are going to do and quality is that of the cookie cutter builder they are. If you are looking for quality and professionalism then please stay away from Cve because they are none of these.

I won't knock other builders but what really sold us on CVE was the quality of their work and the extreme level of customization. When I speak of quality I am referring to the things that you may not necessarily notice but are super important. They do a great job with framing, the basement is awesome, even if you stick with base level everything the quality is still decent (standard doors and flooring for example), and they did an excellent job with finishing.

What sold us was the customization. At the initial design meeting we talked about what we liked and didn't like in the model that we were shown and gave a few thoughts on what we would like. They came back with a floor plan customized for what we wanted and then we worked together to refine it to our perfect floor plan. As long as the wall isn't load bearing they will do just about anything that you ask free of charge.

My wife and I prefer a very modern design and CVE allowed us to build an amazing modern home

Stay far away from this builder. They don't do any quality work at all. When you call to ask them to fix something they give you a hard time and play the blame game. You also have to watch them like a dog. They tired to over charge us $7,000.00...

Customer Centric / Cost Concious.

What started as a great experience quickly turned into a not so great one. While I found the staff to be super friendly, there were just issues that went wrong, leaving us utterly dissatisfied.

We put $5,000 earnest money, as you would in such a case. Without having the plans completely finalized, they poured the basement. We didn't actually know they had started, but happened to drive by the property and noticed that 1. it was poured, and 2. one of the windows was in the right spot.

There were points where several weeks went by with no contact, where suddenly we were notified that there was concern our plans would not appraise. We came in, they completely dedicated themselves to making it right. For sake of needing a place to live, we just agreed away, and tried to make edits. Still they came back with no feedback. Dates given for deadlines on follow-up appraisals came and went without updates. Although the contact dictates that you "pay cash" for additions, changes -- which of course we had some fluff in there. The basement issue didn't allow us to make other changes to the plan, or re-think it slightly so in the end it would be right. We had sat down with owners, who spent a full day to try to get it right -- but again, once other process started, no communication. We were pressured to get out of our current place, and had to back out of the house; a combination of the issues, dragging of feet, timing, and being locked in. They utterly refused to reimburse us the $5,000 deposit, even though as a business guy I know they'll make margin on the house. I don't usually have bad brand experiences -- I go with the right people. At the end of the day I wished there was a little more humility and understanding that they screwed up big time.

cve is considered a custom builder but i would call them anything but... changes i have made to my home during the building process have cost me anywhere from 100%-900% more then they should. example. i wanted to add a irrigation system later after the build. the well pump was not big enough to support it.upgrade fee $975, cost difference at lowes and home depot $110-$120 (this was before one was installed at all) .. want to do your own flooring sure no problem but we are only going to credit you a few hundred dollars and the cost is on you (in my case it was 6k) want a custom shower head that you provide ...you gota fight with them and in the end its $1000's to install....they are a great cookie cutter builder that doesn't like to let you in on anything till its done but i would not recommend them as a custom home builder it will cost you 8 times as much. site supervisor mike is the absolute worst. he doesn't even want me to be near the house until it's done, I think that's because they keep messing everything up from little things like the siding being put on in the wrong place to the trusses being put on backwards
