I recently moved to the area and was looking for a gift for a family member during the holidays. I happened to find this quaint store while I was using my GPS to locate something else. I decided to venture in and was pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere was very relaxed and friendly. The set up looked nothing like that of a regular jewelry store, and the variety of pieces on display were beautiful. The ladies at the counter were quick to greet me and very helpful. After Christmas, I went back to the store. I had received a Pandora bracelet and wanted to buy two clips. I met Dawn, who, went through all of the pieces with me. She didn't mind that I was like a "kid in a candy shop" looking at all of the wonderful pieces. I had several opportunities throughout the week to go to several other stores that also carry Pandora, but I made a special stop just so I could give my business to them. I had been trying to find a pendant of the balloon house in the movie "UP" for the past couple years. This is my wife's favorite movie. A friend recommended K. Hollis Jewelers and told me they could design anything. I spoke with Karen, the owner, detailing what I wanted. She was very professional and patient in letting me describe my thoughts. This was a partnership and she made sure I felt that. She even let me speak to the jeweler, Bruce, to describe what I wanted and thought. From the first moment of my first visit I felt at ease. Karen told me that she would have some drawings made up to begin the process. It took about a week and I received the initial drawing for the pendant. They even suggested we make it into a pendant broach combination. I was very impressed. I told them to begin. In the balloons I wanted various birth stones placed for members of our families. Bruce actually made the house and balloons into a 3D piece. He made up to four layers while building the house so you could see the depth of the porch. The detail of the chimney and house siding was fantastic. The balloons that did not contain birth stones were raised to look like real balloons. Needless to say, when I gave this work of art to my wife at Christmas, we were all in awe. Karen and Bruce were able to deliver a one-of-a-kind customized piece of jewelry that is truly a work of art. She kept me involved every step of the creation process. I have to give her 5 stars because that is the highest they allow. I can say in my heart that Karen and Bruce should be given 6.

I met Karen a few days ago when I came into your store to drop my husband's ring off to be refurbished (as an anniversary surprise)... You also cleaned my wedding rings, and one diamond fell out of my band (I'm sure you remember me now, right?).Well, I picked up my rings today and just missed you by about 10 minutes- but I wanted to let you know that it all turned out just fine. Got to meet John Carpenter, who came out to apologize for not having my rings done by 2pm. He explained that my wedding band needed more work that he originally thought. I guess the last guy who sized my ring "did a half-@&$ job" and all the stones were loose! John fixed it though--much to my relief. I told him why I was in the store--that I was surprising my hubby by restoring his ring to its near-original state, and he looked at my rings and said, "Well then let me take your rings and clean them so they are as shiny as your husband's!" This is the first jewelry store that I've ever walked into where I felt so comfortable so quickly. Karen and her staff made me feel at home from the minute I walked into the store. I brought in a ring that was handed down from my grandmother and Karen helped me turn it into a stunning new ring for mother's day. Great experience, fair prices and they lived up to their reputation.
