Attorney Szewczyk is a civil and criminal trial lawyer, with extensive experience in personal injury law, including wrongful death claims, auto accident and auto-pedestrian accident claims, slip-and-fall claims, defective product claims, and premises liability claims. In his civil litigation practice, Attorney Szewczyk regularly represents clients in business disputes, construction matters, boundary disputes, collection actions, evictions, and other matters. Mr. Szewczyk has been a litigator since 1991, and he represents both plaintiffs and defendants in personal injury matters. Attorney Szewczyk is also a municipal attorney with extensive experience since 1996 representing several towns and a village corporation, as well as individuals, in land use violation enforcement matters, in cases involving shoreland zoning and other zoning issues, selectboard, planning board and board of appeals proceedings, as well as representing municipalities and individuals in appellate review of governmental actions in the courts. Attorney Szewczyk has represented clients on appeals before the Supreme Judicial Court of Maine on numerous occasions in a variety of matters. Mr. Szewczyk also drafts wills and residential leases for clients, and represents clients before the probate court in guardianship matters.
